Massive rewind from LTH's on dilution.
--------------------------
I presume you mean u-turn seaside53?
As a 5+ year investor I feel I've earned the moniker LTH and I'm not for dilution.
But then again I never am. Previously we didnt have an asset that was producing revenue, now we do I would hope that more financial instruments are available to the company other than just dishing out shares to 'sticky' investors who turn out to be anything but.
Do we need to issue shares for the JSE listing? Someone on this board has said that it isn't always required, so why issue shares, if SA is interested in Bushveld then list on the JSE and allow them to access the current shares in issue.
If we need £100m for the kiln surely we have enough profit to go to a bank or other financial institue and get a loan over 5 years and pay it back?
Why always issue shares? It doesn't always make sense.
However. Back before we bought Vametco BBN (who when he first appeared on the board years ago was thought, tongue in cheek, to be Fortune himself because his analysis and guesstimates were so accurate) did some estimates of what dilution he thought it would take for Bushveld to end up with as much of Vametco as we have, and that figure was around 1.1billion shares in issue and he pretty much nailed it. The thought of dilution at the time filled me with the same dread as every other share i've been invested in on AIM, only this time it wasn't so that directors carried on getting paid, or for administration costs, or whatever else firms dilute for without adding value. It was for an asset that would produce profit. I may not like the possibility but I know that with Bushveld if they do issue shartes then it will be used to expand the company and in turn profit and in turn share price and in turn get me that much closer to retiring.
