Hi all, yes this was just posted on the Rolls-Royce board I was watching (smiley face), I'm just having a look at this share and catching up on all the share chat...sometimes to understand a share I find the punters know best, cheers all, GLA

Hi FoxBat,
Everything was on pause due to a healthy 37 year old woman developing a rare side effect. Link below

Indeed, so much information is always held back. Spinal cord inflammation doesn't sound comfortable...it's along these lines that I base my 'argument' to hold off on taking the vaccine.
I was watching the news month or two ago and they were interviewing the the leader of the vaccine task force, the newsreader asked what the effects could be in several years time and the task force representative replied "we don't know what the effects could be in 6 months time" bit of a difference in timelines there..
Transparency is key and I don't feel the general public will ever be given the full picture.
I completely agree about the market, there's no point in worrying short term about RR, this will be a slow recovery. If you didn't look at the RR share price for a few years I don't think it will matter. RR will recover drastically. There will be a great rollout of the vaccine and our daily lives will be divided by those who have had it and those that haven't. Unfortunately, the 1961 thalidomide drug sprung to mind when thinking about this vaccine, it caused thousands of deaths and birth defects- yet it was supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread to treat morning sickness. I appreciate that alot of vulnerable and older people will be jumping on this vaccine as it's almost a MUST have instead of a COULD have. I don't fancy the washing up liquid either but I find it interesting how the numbers of deaths this year have been drastically leaned toward Covid causes instead of underlying health conditions like COPD. By boosting the numbers we've been able to mass produce a "vaccine" to battle the strain.
IMO only - we all have one.

Markets dissatisfied or is everyone weary about the vaccine's long term effects...everyone I have discussed this with are on the fence whether or not they will have the vaccine.
I don't think I will be. (That's one person). There are multiple pharmaceutical companies racing to get the highest percentage vaccine into circulation. Even if 99% was announced, people would still have the same opinion about long term effects and whether it's safe.
Yes agreed, I've been here almost 7/8 years for my sins... I really hope we start getting some positive momentum soon. From everything that's been presented to us, we know that the application is watertight. There is just a tiny spot of doubt in everyone's minds about whether this share will take off and I can't blame them considering what has happened repeatedly up to this point. I should of sold when we went to 16p on the news of a possible decision years ago.

Hey ho.
Rolls-Royce are going to be recovering for a long time. There will be a reduced demand for flying for several years so engine production rate will most probably remain lower for longer. The nuclear contract will be a great win. I can't see the share price moving much on its own here without good news.
Hi Eric,
Thanks, I had a look and the only thing in there is the Rolls Royce issue that just took place. I'll keep holding on. I've invested alot here at under 4p so I just don't know if it's worth grabbing up more shares anyway...I'm hoping for a positive reply from KU
I may be mistaken but I believe this is regarding preem
