We have found ourselves an unique company. I'm totally amazed with even a buy out on the table the share price goes the opposite way lol. Only first can achieve that. Sooner I get rid of these dear wood shares the better. UNBELIEVABLE
When you said" waste of space" I knew you were taking about first shares lol
Nothing surprises me with this company. As for the update that could be sometime next year know them.
In my opinion the government/ councils would be cheaper just buying out the depots and running the service. As the amount of money that possibly needed would be crazy. In my opinion.
First won't be involved in any new services in my opinion, if anything I can see them using this to cut services to try save more money. The grants have been issued to first on the understanding that once profit is made the funds will be withdrawn. we have been told by the company and Union reps. How much truth is in this is anyones guess.
I hoping that the government grants will not dry up as the covid funds were only till end of march. But in all honesty I can see them getting funds to at least the end of the year, dependant on the time frame to get the public back on the bus. Just my opinion .
Pretty much in England of I'm not mistaken and first have very limited services down there now.
For some reason my post was deleted in response to your question. Strange .
I know on the coming weeks that the transfer of some of the data from first are being transferred over from the u.s data to u.k data so that the company can separate the two companies. However this isn't too say any sale or anything is happening. It's just to separate the programs and data that the company use for both.
If you retire on the buses you get an employees pass for a few years , which is a different colour from the working employees . However he in the u.k you get an elderly concession card at the age of 60 . To which the government pays the bus companies a certain amount based apon the ticket and distance travelled. As for trains, I don't know that info
You are referring to' my rewards' scheme.
Companies do not have any obligations to give dividends. They can stop them at any point without notice. But if they want growth , expansion or investment money they need share holders and in return they give a cut off the profits.
I personally do save as you earn, 3 years plan. You get an option price of 20% off at the time of the sign up. After the years you get 6 months to decide what to do with your investment.1- take an the money back you have invested( no rewards or interest) 2- take the option price and convert them into shares. The buy as earn is , but two get one Free share up to the value of 20 pounds. My three year just natured at the option price was 82p. If you leave the company you don't get these options . As it's only employees
From my understanding we are only getting funded up until March , however this week probably change. In my honest opinion I doubt very very much there will be an dividends paid . The reason I say that is the outstanding debt and the big unknowns about where pubic transport will be this time next year etc. With companies now asking thier staff to work from home etc I can't see the buses returning to normal pre covid levels. I think there is lots of elements that will create problems soon. I personally think after all the covid furlough payments are reduced/ stopped the amount of job loses will be massive. Leading to a greater challange for this company.
Lol.............
Reading what you said, you said" first are only 800 million in debt" I think you need to look at it again, unless I'm wrong . Even if 2.5 billion is paid to the debt it would still leave 600 in the red. So not too sure where you are getting your figured from. Did you look into the pension deficit etc
In my honest opinion even if debt is paid off,I still can't see any dividends as there would still be a large amount of debt still to be addressed. Secondly the unknown about this company and the direction that's it going is very foggy with no light at the end of the tunnel. Personally i can't ever see the buses returning to the normal as most people have now started other solutions, ie bikes . The amount of easy choices out there now compared to traveling on cold, long, dirty buses has need for most buses. I'm not saying there will be no demand but with the easy credits to get a cheap car etc is growing. Where I live people have simply given up with buses.
I wonder what nonsense will be brought up today. A few things I have noticed on this forum is that never listen to anyone as most are clueless about anything. One minute they say watch this rise, then it falls. What it drop to this and that ,then it rises . Most are completely and utterly guessing and not got a clue. Secondly the amount of playground antics that are supposedly coming from adults are completely outrageous. Time to look in the mirror folks and grow up. If you don't like someone or something that is being said you can simply ignore , block or filter this person. At the end of the day we are all here for one reason and one reason only and that is to look for news etc about our investments.
Lol believe it
More job loses in lloyds
