I can't see it myself. With all the uncertainties here with covid etc they won't in my opinion commit to paying out big. I can see them stock piling the cash to cover the uncertainties that may lie ahead.
Well I can only give you a fact as it currently stands the now. First group are not making any profits in a large section of Thier company. So future dividends won't happen imo. Even when they do start making money it will be less that pre covid levels , as the simple facts are.,Lots of company's are now letting employees work from home. On top of that I'm currently working in a depot that cannot keep the drivers and the running schedules have been depleted numerous times with many bus routes cancelled or simply not showing up . Customers are getting fed up waiting for buses that never come. Also another point I wish to make is that there is a small about of people who will not travel anymore on buses due to the fact that people are simply ignoring the fact coverings legislation .I personally would not travel on the buses now and in sure many others feel the same. So personally I hope my full tender is successful and in regards to buying into first, that's been a big massive mistake that I've ever made, so I will never buy ( even at a smaller price) which I think it's coming
To be honest mate I think everyone will tender so I'm expecting 60% back in shares: (. If that's the case in looking at 18,000 shares being returned (. I think everyone has had enough of this company.
Not sure you if read the small print . On mines it says if everyone takes the tender offer you may be capped @ 38% for the sale of your total shares. Or was it 39% . There abouts.
Many people think that dividends will come soon in first group. give yourself a shake if you think this. First will give a special dividend for the sale of America and that will be it for years to come imho. Regardless how you feel about first or expectations this company is in a very very bad way and going south each passing day. Driver shortages etc. One day I expect the government and local authorities to step in and take the buses etc into public ownership and if that has to happen where does it leave first group ? , Answer - no where.
You posts are total rubbish on here mate. You honestly think it's going to be 64p by end if the year. Your deluided my friend. Please stop posting total garbage on the forum as that's all you ever seen to do.
I can see it going into mid 80's in a few months. I'll be taking the tender and won't be investing anymore in this company. There's plenty of company's out there that can give 7% dividend returns
What are people's thoughts on what the share price will be after the tender offer? Personally I can see alot of people taking the tender offer and thus making the share price lower than the tender offer.i personally think it will go under£1 . What's everyone else's thoughts on the price after tender?
Yawn yawn
do you think the current offer is decent with the open market price today closing @ £1.0250 per share. That means only a 2.5p difference. The question which remains is. What will the price be on the open market after the special dividend and the closure of the tender offer.
Let's not kid ourselves on here ,the 50 million special dividend between all the share holders is worth pennies to everyone. This deal totally sucks from the start to the finish. For a £1.05 share price. It's basically another slap in your face. Now which brings me to my next point. Several months ago I posted exactly what a joke this company was and was totally laughed at( post can be found if you scroll back) this is a message to all that laughed. Who's laughing now? Still think the company is great.
I've just read there's a£105.00 share price being offered with A 50 minion special dividend afterwards. Kinda send poor to me :(
Not sure if I'm totally right in this response mate. From my understanding the funds that are being given back to share holders are through a buy beck scheme( from my understanding) so if this is the case this would cause the share price to rise. So if you didn't have shares after this happens you wont benefit. ( Again if I'm wrong I opogise) but this is my understanding of it all. You will need to hold off sending your shared until the rise of you want to take advantage of the 590 million buy back. As I've said again first have been very cloudy on their plans to give the funds back. So not sure anyone knows
Never surprises me , every single time this share gets a decent jump the following day it falls back on its backside again. Pffff then we need to listen to the usually members on this board what claim to know what's going on. For months and months we get the same quotes " it's going to rocket" ," it's going to be 50,60,70pn soon. Most have no clue what's going on and simply guess. Just to let these people know, it's becoming very boring watching the same dribble bring posted day in and day out.
Does anyone not think that the current drop in markets has to do with the current situation in Afghanistan .. We all know how this is going to go long term . I refuse to say what I really think as it will start a debate . But I think you all know what I mean. Every country now will be on alerts and the markets will be very nervous in the future.
From my understanding mate. When you buy into these scheme due to the agreement of 3 years for the SAYE and 5 years for BAYE I don't think you will get the dividend until the completion of the mature dates. For example if you buy share with SAYE in 2010 your need to wait till 2013 until you make the decision to either take the share price discount that was offered at the beginning of the SAYE scheme or take your full amount invested without interest. After the 3 year plan is matured you have 6 months to make you choice . So if there was a dividend in 2011 or 2012 etc within the contract you wouldn't be eligible for it. As until the three years are up and you make the choice you don't have the shares until the plan has been executed.
With current special dividend I'm guessing some people want a piece of the pie . Hence the price rise
The challenges are far to great to conquer. This company has been run into the group for years and had been mismanaged for as long as I can remember. Personally I think , no matter who takes control the strings will always be there to pull him/her . This company is a total disaster.
One word to describe today's outcome and share price jump @ under
