During his inauguration speech, Donald Trump invoked Manifest Destiny—a concept rooted in American exceptionalism—and said, plainly, that the United States is the greatest nation on Earth. And because he meant it, everything else followed. We could impose tariffs and drag other countries to the negotiating table. We could deport criminals and ignore activist judges. We could slash bureaucracy, talk about buying Greenland, and achieve energy independence—even while Europe hovers on the brink of a blackout. These weren’t just stunts. They were expressions of a deeper belief: that America is unique, and that we have the right—not just the ability, but the right—to act like it.
That kind of thinking is considered outdated in most elite institutions today. If you went to college anytime in the last 50 years, you were taught to be ashamed of this country. You were told our greatness is colonialist propaganda. But it turns out, the reality is hard to deny. Other nations are collapsing under the weight of their own delusions—and even they know it.’
