Hi Setcentric- I am not a member on the site so it only lists the most recent entries, which for Lockheed Martin are aerospace related.
However, i do not think they are using Vanadium in their flow battery.
BigBiteNow- Excellent posts, thank you.
Do you think that the IDC will take a stake in Enerox alongside Bushveld, if the grand plan of VRFB manufacturing in SA comes to fruition?
Afri-Devo Energy Storage (who use a Lithium Ion Battery manufactured by BYD in China) claim to be ‘the only local company to have received the Battery Energy Storage System Cerificate from Eskom’.

These guys seem to be a competitor for the BESS Projects.
Alfacomp- I know you mentioned them in your Eskom site visit report last year. How big of a threat do you think they are?
I would presume they fall down the pecking order in terms of local mining and the entire value chain etc
Maybe they are listening after all!

Remember Bushveld own around 8.4% and have the first right of refusal to supply the Vanadium!
8 MWh Sale to Australian Solar + Storage Project
South Australian solar + storage project marks Invinity's largest sale to date
Invinity Energy Systems (AIM:IES), manufacturer of vanadium flow batteries (VFBs) for the large-scale energy storage requirements of businesses, industry and electricity networks, has signed a contract to deliver an 8 MWh Vanadium Flow Battery ("VFB") system for a utility-scale solar-plus-storage project to be built in South Australia.
By combining the VFB system with a 6 MWp solar PV array, the project will deliver low- emission, dispatchable solar power to South Australia's electricity network, ensuring the grid receives solar-generated electricity on demand.
The fully-funded project will be developed and operated by Yadlamalka Energy Pty Ltd. and is expected to be delivered during H2 2021, subject to planning permission. The Invinity system will comprise 41 Invinity VS3 flow batteries and has an anticipated revenue contribution of approximately £6.7m to the Group, which relates to the Invinity batteries, ancillary components and associated services. The overall project cost is projected at approximately $20m AUD.
Fosters100- our share price was circa 24p pre-Corona. This was when we were producing circa 2900 mtv and the Vanadium price was around $29 per Kg/V.
Within 12 months we will be producing north of 4500 mtV. With worldwide stimulus packages kicking in I definitely foresee Vanadium prices being north of $29 next year.
This is without ANY new activity in VRFBs, taking Vanadium supply away.
So if we are increasing our production by a minimum of 65% short term, and assuming the Vanadium prices will be minimum $29, our share price will be far north of 24p!
Add to this if we win a part of the multi-$100m Eskom contract, then this will have a very positive impact on our share price!
Add in any new Bushveld Energy contracts, Invinity, Enerox etc then who knows where our share price will end up.
By the way, this is not ramping, it is pure common sense!
Delivered to the US.
That’s 126,258 Kg delivered in the past 9 days!
So another $3m for Bushveld!
And the US is only around 50% of our client base.

For any of you who are not sure how we make money from projects such as the Vametco mini-grid, please see the potential revenue streams for Bushveld Energy below:
Quoted from Mikhail-
-Project Developer: we get a development fee when the project reaches financial close
-Co Investor: we get the return on equity or dividends from the Power Purchase Agreement that is signed to pay for the energy that the mini-grid produces
-Battery: we are supplying the battery into the project as the developer so if we want to we can charge a mark-up on someone else’s battery
-Investment in Enerox: our investment will now increase in value because that company will now have increased deployments
-Electrolyte supply: we get a few for manufacturing the electrolyte
-Vandium Supply: we sell the Vanadium into the project
Bassguy-
Please go to 37 mins in the below Crux interview. Mikhail explains very eloquently Bushveld Energy's 5-6 income stream involvement into the Vametco mini-grid:

I think that explains it quite clearly!
Daisydog- This is taken from Busheld Energy's website:
'The Vametco project is a first-of-a-kind commercial installation of a Mini-Hybrid solar and battery grid feeding directly into the Vametco Mine’s internal Network. It is unique in that it has been developed by independent investors and investment banks and is totally funded outside of the mine’s balance sheet. This project is a nett 1MW hybrid mini-grid with a 2.5MWp solar farm, feeding both the internal Network and the 1MW, 4MWh Vanadium Redox Flow Battery, which will also be charged from the Grid at night-time Off Peak rates. It can provide stable power to the internal network for up to 16 hours per day, thereby providing Load Shifting benefits and Peak Demand Reduction benefits, as well as stabilising the Power Quality of the Network and reducing Reactive Energy charges'.
