If the Gold price and Barrick SP price remain high then Barrick could have an opportunity here. Let’s hope that MB is not just a charging Rhino and he can change his course just a little .. As it stand now the 0.153 offer is around 187p if he can come to show some good will a slight raise of that will now bring an SP that may have more suitors... 0.175 will bring around 214 and 0.2 around 234 .. Don’t get me wrong I would want more ... however there will be minority holders like myself who are in profit now and a small increase will may sugar coat the s**t I think that’s how Dimi put it ..I think at 234 I would take my money and run now ... I know this does not suit most on here but I get the impression now that some of the figures that have been bounded around on here will no longer be achievable... If MB is genuinely talking to these fund managers he may be getting a figure that they are willing to go with ... I doubt that will be anywhere near the 300 mark ... in the words of Donald Tusk let’s hope he uses this time wisely and comes back with a better revised offer .. Arbitration could be along drawn out process although I do expect that ACA will come out on top

This SP is definitely being kept in this price range .... it won’t break 175/6 seems to be being held back

The American drone being shot down in the Gulf this morning will certainly help oil ... let’s hope a few also take the Gold safe Haven ... no movement on SP yet this morning

ACA management reply is a very strong rebuttal........ I made the point of that yesterday why release a statement like that after asking for an extension...also the Barrick statement was almost like a points of argument for the takeover... surely that must be kept for the lawyers to decide and not put in the open ..... not sure which direction the SP will go today but I got the impression from yesterday that one of the financial institutions were buying and selling in quantities to keep the SP were it is

Why ask for more time then release that statement..... Well I think that if an improved offer is coming I think we are all going to be disappointed...

I wonder if Barrick actually think that the deal they have come up with is a pile of Shiite.. ACA board obviously dismissed it and continued down the arbitration road and its left Barrick to make a paltry offer for the shares they don’t own .. let’s face it they know what’s been agreed on with GoT and would be able to fully assess if it’s viable will all mines running.. I’m not convinced and offer is coming.. Maybe we are doing MB a disservice here .. Maybe he is playing the GoT and saying it’s arbtration or you loosen your grip a little .. There maybe more dark arts being played here than we know or understand.... I’m with Franky here I still think this as got a few plays left to run ... if no offer tomorrow does anyone think this will rise

I’m not sure this will be a Tier 1 company .... my thinking is this .. The due diligence is taking longer because our FO partner is not Tier 1 and hence more checks and balances are required to guarantee our partner can provide what they say they are going to provide ..... it may be a little bit like football ownership in the uk ... New owners promise funds and the world but simply can’t provide it .... i was suggest if our FO partner was a BP/ ConocoPhillips although the lawyers would be thorough the provision of funds would not be in doubt

Boys I think you have misread me .. I wouldn’t be happy with 170... but that maybe the position Barrick will take .. up the offer a little and they may get some takers ... they’ve gone for a very low start position and anything higher will get some shareholders thinking .. that’s all’s I’m saying... This is only my opinion what they may do ... just as a thought tactic

P ... I bet it’s because all the institutions know this is a bad price and there maybe a better offer ... still if 146 is the opening gambit then I don’t expect more .. even with the usual 30% premium the best we can hope for is 190

Tricky ... soon we will be buying Chinese rail tracks for HS2 they will have Hauwei 5G antenna fitted to them and will be half the price of what Scunthorpe could produce it ... When your journey from Derby to London is 10 minutes quicker you will have to get in the traps quicker to take your dump from all that real ale ... no doubt the Chinese tracks will analyse the contents and send the data back to Beijing

Personally now I think that we will now leave without a deal .... Hold on to your cash as Lloyds will be down in the 40’s possibly lower ... I can’t understand LLOY shareholders who actively seek a no deal scenario.. your investments will crash ... BB those MTRO shares were looking a bargain at 4.80 .... just worked out that if the ABX offer goes through and currency/share price ABX stay the same I will be around 6k down .. wish I hadn’t bought more around 195 and I bought 5k at 232 ...

Looks like MB has stitched us up big time .. He’s sorted out GoT with some nice kick back .. no one will ever put in a counter offer as Barrick won’t be selling their shares .. got to say our only hope is a legal one ... It can’t be right that our majority shareholder does all the negotiations and then tells us GoT won’t talk to management of ACA so we will buy rest of shares at a pittance..
