RE: More articles about Woodside / Sunrise19 Apr 2023 17:35
If you look at a map of discoveries, the trend line says, must be more
to find, Area P for example that ENI picked up, long thought to be the
host of the Hydrocarbon Kitchen that feeds both Chuditch and Sunrise
Area R picked up by Santos, the wider Bayu Undan region license another
likely candidate for another similar discovery/s
Kelp was discovered in 1998 , same as Chuditch, both still await development
drilling, so could be even bigger, Kelp had an astonishing 14 tcf with 10-11
recoverable placed on it.
It has had neither an operator or license for years (TL keeping for themselves ?
and Beaco if/when someone builds it for them) Kelp was discovered by what
was Mobil (part of Exxon now ?)

If you take this one, its TL and the Western Timor Sea Indo/oz but if you
look where Evans Shoal is on the right, many on that side beyond it
including the controversial Barossa field.
That was to be next for Santos/JV with the new input pipeline to Darwin
the old from Darwin to Bayu Undan being converted to output waste
and carbon storage.
Santos have said, they still plan to build a new pipeline to Darwin and have
budgeted over $400m for it, the dual pipeline through their own Darwin
refinery and on to Bayu carbon capture facility, will go ahead.
Were will the new HUB be, can not exclude Chuditch as a possibility
