Firering Strategic Minerals: From explorer to producer. Watch the video here.
As far as we know, still the royalties to be paid also, half in cash and half in Diamonds, they moved the goalpost
last year, for all mining production, or we might get lucky for once but doubt it, as they held them all this time
when they had been ruled against (2010 High Court) maybe they will waive the Royalties and pigs might fly π
Be just our luck for the RBZ to want additional , long term STORAGE FEES π²π
That new site Natarbora is close to both the to be converted to gas, Betano power station (currently diesel) and the
now pretty idle Betano Oil refinery (small seeps onshore - Kitan depleted long ago). The link road in the other article
Natarbora - Manatuto comes out just to the East of Metinaro, the reported site for the P.I.T. all IMPORT fuels plus a 90
day supply and tank farms. Guess we have to wait and see what they announce, Lao Hamutuk also reported, TL and
Woodside/Australia now in ACCELERATED talks (was at least one meeting last week) The wait continues but very very
strange after talking Beaco for over 20 years, to now be looking elsewhere π€
Who knows Jarv, that link ref's Beaco port but the latest Lao Hamutuk (NGO) reporting BEACO gas/lng OFF
and a new location , more central South Coast, Natarbora to be the Gas/LNG location for Sunrise, which does
put us right in the frame, very short tie in, if that is the plan.
TL studies launched September 2021 stated , the refineries would be fed from opening by CHUDITCH , Kelp
and Sunrise, after co-ordinated development of all 3, while Boil/SG talking FPSO at the time.
One thing they have progressed, that will benefit Vast once they can return to mining, partner ZCDC , now has
it's own state of the art facilities, to clean , cut and tender the Diamonds to worldwide markets. Still curious if
that is AP's plan, if he ever gets them in his sticky little mitts ?, start as you plan to go on, with the JV partner. π€
ZCDC spun out of the mining authority a few years ago, they have a share of every inch of Zimbabwe that is mined
and hold the authority and Diamond mining rights to the entire country, they have never stopped mining, you want
to go for Diamonds, ZCDC automatically a share and part of your JV. Marange is massive and many licenses. π
That road would go to Manututo just East of Dili and Metinaro (lng imports plan) π€

1. This economic and financial analysis evaluates the proposed upgrading of the road from Manatuto to Natarbora in Timor-Leste. This is the core subproject of the Road Network Upgrading Sector Project and similar analysis and due diligence will be prepared for other candidate subprojects. The Timor-Leste Strategic Development Plan (SDP), 2011β2030 identifies the road as a priority for upgrading.1 Support for the nascent offshore petroleum
A new site Natarbora ? still south coast but more central , being mentioned, can't find fa else at the mo ? π²π
The IX government, headed by former Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão has replaced the petroleum sector leadership, and former TimorGAP President Francisco Monteiro is now Minister for Petroleum and Mineral Resources. They have accelerated talks with Australia and Woodside and hope to bring the Sunrise gas pipeline to Natarbora (having shifted the site of the proposed LNG plant from Beaçu) and are discussing further studies.

This is much closer to Bettano , were the existing Oil refinery complex is located...... more to follow from Gusmao and co I would expect soon. π€Must be a new MASTER PLAN, after talking Beaco for over 20 years.

A Japanese government source told S&P Global Commodity Insights that, in a three-page long questionnaire sent to the Australian government in early June, Tokyo had sought clarity over the availability of Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) and Australia's readiness for a CCS project over two jurisdictions.
Tokyo is also seeking an exemption for the Barossa gas project operated by Santos, in which Japan's JERA has a 12.5% stake.
The project, which has already taken a FID, plans to capture CO2 emissions and ship them to the Bayu-Undan oil and gas field in the Timor Sea for storage, requiring the governments of Australia and East Timor to adjust legal frameworks under the London Protocol on transboundary CO2 transfers.
Amid a lack of clarity over the legal frameworks, the Barrosa gas project would likely see delays in starting up its CCS project, meaning the project partners would end up having to purchase ACCUs, the source said.
Located off Australia's Northern Territory, the Barossa project will link to the Darwin LNG terminal by pipeline and is expected to start production around 2025, with CCS starting up from around 2027 and reaching fully-fledged CCS around 2030, the source said.
If they are still talking Barossa and Darwin, Santos still looking for that new HUB location, can not go direct
from Barossa or close to the Tiwi Islands (map the large Islands lump above Darwin) , would have to from
further West say parallel with its currently idle (being converted for Carbon waste storage) Darwin-Bayu line.
Barossa was planned to produce with nearby ENI Evans Shoal, in the pipeline duplication project. Santos/ENI
and the Korean's have JV's in place, making that new HUB likely.......
Santos Area R - wider bayu region
ENI Area P - The gap that links Sunrise and Chuditch licences
Chuditch itself, likely in their thoughts ?
Could build HUB at Chuditch - pipe across Barossa/Evans Shoal , while also developing Chuditch for FFD
to follow them ? π€

As per thread Change in the air wtf
Local NGO Lao Hamutuk reporting big changes, NEW Gas/LNG pipeline and Export refineries facilities, location
Natarbora after talking Beaco for 22 years, also report Timor Leste and Australia, in ACCELERATED negotiations
with Woodside and Australia (was talks this past week) on bringing Sunrise and pipeline to Natarbora, with more
studies planned.........this is still all about bringing it to the Island BUT, why change location after 22 years. Must be
part of a bigger TL masterplan (locations-transport links-power stations supply etc) π€ GLA
Also this from this weeks Cabinet meeting, interestingly the new Gas/LNG Natabora vice it appears axed Beaco,
is close to both the Betano power station and Betano Oil refinery. It with the 2 power stations in the North,
announced in Parliament as all to be converted to Gas/LNG by 2025, supplied from the was Beaco, then became
Metinaro (near capital Dili) Gas/LNG Import facilities and 90 day tank farm for emergency domestic security. π€
Lastly, the Council of Ministers decided to authorise the opening of a direct procurement procedure as a matter of urgency to purchase fuel for the Betano Power Station for a period of six months to guarantee the full operation of this power station and the supply of energy.
If Sunrise pipeline going to Natarbora now vice Beaco, could we be now looking at, whoever develops Chuditch
(won't be Boil, never was) perhaps starting 1 or 2 wells fpso, then once Nararbora up and running, FFD via a now
very short pipe to run into the Sunrise-Nat line, could be built at the same time, shorter, cheaper junction line.π€
What do you think guys and gals ? could this be a sign CHUDITCH, to become an cog in a new plan, the new site, almost
a straight line Chuditch - Natarbora - Dili/Metinaro, could it be they are about to put the two projects back together again
Metinaro Gas/LNG Import fac's , was originally to be co-located with Exports fac' Beaco ?
This change seems to indicate all systems go, Timor Leste had compensation packages and new housing all set to go
for all those displaced from Beaco ? this weeks talks must have revealed a new plan? maybe Meg and Co, have now
identified an easier crossing point for the pipeline across the 2800-3500 deep trench ? π€
Why now change locations ? after Beaco talked about for 22 years and at least 4 lots of studies done? π€
