Here's the video. 71 million pounds IB is suggested need to be ringfenced. 31 million is avaliable to Tidal and other less developed projects, but floating offshore wind could eat into that and they have been ringfenced.
If your taking carbon out of the carbon cycle by growing organic compounds to extract for oil, only then to brun them and release carbon into the atmosphere then the impact would be neutral.

Makes you think if you could make fish oil or whale fat in a lab. They used to use whale fat to make oil prior to crude oil.
We may get a diffrent carcinogenic aspect of meat through sterile conditions potentially. Although this is hypothetical on my part.
I believe I and RWT have discussed this before.
"Cultured meat production, on the other hand, produces carbon dioxide, which persists for hundreds of years. So the potential benefits of cultured meat in terms of emissions are unclear."
From the previous studies I looked at, it depends on the energy sourse being used to produce cultured meat. The implicit assumption is that such cultured meat will use renewable enegery (however, this is not a given). With methane, while it does spend less time in the atmosphere, because livestock rearing is a cycle it may as well treat it as a constant factor if the variable it is based upon is continious.
"Another potential problem is pathogens. For the moment, it is impossible to know with certainty whether they are really eliminated from the meat grown in the laboratory or whether they change in nature."
Sterile enviroment, so less of a consideration in the sense of COVID. Actually, this may be a problem in itself as people don't realise that you may want some pathogens in order for your immune system to function properly. Otherwise, you can get auto-immune disorders, more prone to disease, more likelyhood of allergic reactions, etc.
Seen this today as well. Think it will be of any use?

"A large fire at Britain’s main electricity subsea cable will reduce imports from France until the end of March, National Grid has warned, triggering fears over tight supplies at a time when power prices have surged to record highs."

Found this as well.
Okay, good to know. Yes, 30% seems reasonable.
I'd put some of it in, rather than all of it (although I'm sure that's what you mean).
"CellX, which raised $4.3 million earlier this year and is now seeking fresh funding, is also eyeing the global market, however."
Maybe this is where they are planning to invest some of the money.
"Agronomics, a leading listed investor in alternative proteins with a focus on cellular agriculture and cultivated meat, is pleased toannounce today that the Company has completed a subscription of US$ 50,000, in the form of a Simple Agreement for Future Equity("SAFE"), in CellX Limited ("CellX"). The Subscription will be paid using cash from the Company's own resources. The SAFE will convertat the valuation cap divided by the company capitalisation at the next equity financing, which should give Agronomics an approximateequity ownership of 1.43%."

You'de think so, but stock markets aren't rational and AIM even more so. Passions, emotions and sentiments play a key role (and market manipulation for good measure) on AIM. There are a lot of decent companies who are slowly producing results, but reciever little to no attention because they are not hot stocks. Likewise, you get companies like this which are good at selling a story of future worth, and people flock to it for a time like moths to a flame.
People get bored when there is not a lot going on and go somewhere else, or they get spooked and start to worry because they are not sure why that money hasn't been spent yet. They may be waiting for the next fundraisers on their current investments, or may be searching around for new companies but have not found any at a good price yet.
Have to agree with you about AIM stock movements being somewhat baffling. AIM allshare seems to have been stagnant for a while now, at least since March this year. I'd suggest a lack of news, mixed with current finacial, economic and logistical problems in the UK economy may contribute to the current stagnency overall.

If we're going to use algae to collect carbon, I think the goverment needs to have a mandatory CO2 buyback scheme. There has been talk about using the algae for fertiliser and other products, but I belive it will still be in the carbon cycle so will contribute to global warming. The article says we need to bury the stuff, so that's what we probably should do unless we can find other ways to sell the algae without it affecting the natrual carbon cycle.
