Virus needs moisture to survive, high suction background material will take the moisture out more quickly, I don't like the blown plastic material for lots of reasons.

MyIPA You're back to filtration? The particle size is irrelevant to a mask that has an anti-microbial action built in, that has been done yonks ago.

If you want to make a mask for the small number of people that have allergic reactions that's noble, the mask company that makes the ones for the majority that don't might sell more masks though.

For the most part Anti-microbial = Anti-viral, they've been around for a very long time using various methods of deactivating bacteria and viruses.
Not the only horse in the race but none are jumping over the fences.
If anti-microbial masks were the answer a company would make them using the cheapest and therefor most effective way, it's not using nano particles, there's just one clue as to the lack of large scale demand for them.

Sheephatch P2F Mask is not the world's "first anti-viral face mask", not even close, they've been around for decades. You do know there are multiple incarnations of this snake oil idea all around the world, none of them are taking off. The Wakamono mask for example, also making the same false claims. More I read this BB the more I think it's 90% full of posts from professional liars and the rest are from genuine PI's.

poorinvester Vaccines and naturally acquired immunity will work against the new variants but just to a lesser extent, also if you've had one variant and coped with the induced symptoms you will have no problem with the new variant, herd immunity is not a binary state of immune or not immune.
The world will move to targeted protection of the vulnerable, masks will be thing of the past for most of us, anti-microbial masks, I've yet to find any demand for them or even history of demand for them.

andy216 2024? Herd immunity will be around naturally in India way before then! You do realise the numbers in the UK have partially come down already because of naturally acquired immunity from exposure to the virus.
