Similar relocation at Thurrock Lakeside, M&S moved from the existing store into the vacant Debenhams store.

Larger food hall and café, personally I prefer the old store certainly seemed to have more retail space and a better range of clothing.

Retirement you certainly take some stick on the RR board and some negative comments on here too, perhaps a hint of jealousy from some less fortunate than you. I have a small holding in RR and pretty pleased with how that's going (last couple of days have been a bit concerning) but have recently bought into M&S and looking forward to seeing how that performs.

I shop in various supermarkets my main shop is done at Tesco, but for those on a budget Aldi are a good alternative although range isn't huge, their 'posh' range is pretty good and often in the top 2 or 3 in taste comparison test, the shopping experience isn't always that good but newer stores are pretty good, so for those who knock Aldi perhaps you should pay them a visit.

M&S food stores offer good choices but I have to admit that some products certainly fall behind rivals in taste
