One variable not fully explored is the rising price of oil. Putin needs the price to rise substantially to retain his power. The average Russian is beginning to be very unhappy with the current level of prosperity. The Regime needs very high oil price in an existential requirement. Same can be said for allajor producers to replenish the coffers laid bare by Covid.
