Decision

Unless the courseway changes ( which it might depending on where Newcrest stand post deciduous with NEM) the MRE not due until August in alignment with Newcrest.

Of course outcomes ahead of this could well change the game plan.

It is a game at the moment tactically. A chess game unless decisions are already known.

There are literally days to go before we will find out the outcome of the takeover talks.
It will be very interesting to see what GGPs position is after that outcome and then we may have more of an idea of the thought process which includes us in ASX amongst other possible pathways this board has in store for us.

There will be I’m sure a lot going on behind the scenes. ASX was always part of that pathway and to me ,more appointments at senior levels denotes bigger plans afoot.
We will soon see !
I’d prefer action to inaction given our stagnant SP of the last two years. In the right direction of course !
Maybe we just have to trust in the plan .

My take on this is SDs plans ahead for three elements :
1.simplification as a larger entity for growth plans ahead
2 .legal compliance in both uk and oz ( hence yasmins appointment)
3. Preparing a pathway for a new and more inclusive Greatland going forwards

Great interview Liam and thank you. You did great to get this as a regular quarterly update and I’m sure we’re all grateful for the initiative , time and effort taken to conduct it.
Your style is more polished , it’s a more slick format style and both you and Shaun are now better acquainted and that comes across. Well done you !

So my take on it for what it’s worth in brief :

No real new news and not expected in this forum at this time , but inferences and underlined observations are the following :

- this man is highly ambitious and has spent the past 12 months up to the first half of this year building his desired platform and foundation on which to grow.
So why is that important ? Because it is a strategic act designed as a springboard to far greater ambition which is value building for us shareholders!

- Newmont and Newcrest. In Shaun’s own words here ‘ Newmont takeover seemingly agreed and undergoing due diligence ‘
So the inference and speculation on Shaun’s part ( and mine btw) is that it’s a done deal! So What does that mean for us ? Hooray - possible growth opportunities ahead for GGP

- His three pillars of growth strategy following the 12 month platform build ( almost complete btw with ASX cross listing due soon )are
1. Progress Hav
2. Invest in the drill bit
3.Advance opportunities to invest in and grow our footprint in the Paterson to create a multi asset multi billion dollar platform
So what does this mean for us ? He is not stopping at Hav and we are not going to remain a piddly 8 p stock ! That’s what this means !!

-he elucidated on a number of other things like delay to eps and delay to mre and the dfs expectations and dtm.
Bottom line is he can’t say much but imo it’s clear as we already surmised that it is in our benefit not to release mre yet and comply with the background growing optimum dfs followed by dtm in due course and an mre out by august.
He talks about continuing growth opportunities!( I wonder what they might be ?:-))
ASX is for MORE investment from Aussies who invest in gold copper already so no brainier imo !

-Shaun means business. He is not resting on any laurels. He is web feet paddling like crazy imho to lift us into the big boys and big girls league going forwards if he is enabled to. That is the real question. Will he have the opportunities?
In my personal view he’ll keep at it till he blinkin well creates the opportunities and right now with giants in play ….watch this space !!

I see on catching up , a few comments causing doubt maybe on future potentials here ? I’d say the current scenario gives us MORE potential personally given the new super team at our helm along with SDs driving ambition.

A lofty ambition to build from this “platform” he continually alludes to.
A platform to me usually means a block on which to build and I’m sure that’s his /their intention.

Someone mentioned big salaries ? Hah! Shaun laughed when this was mentioned to him. This BOD is not highly paid and won’t get their monies worth until they’ve raised the SP to at the very least 12 p and do you honestly think that’s as far as they will go given their reputations ?

No! They’re here to build. ASX. More than gold as a resource. Networks within the mining fraternity. Low AISC mine to start with. A huge find to build on. A ton of tenements in elephant country. The list goes on.

They will EARN their monies as we will by supporting the growth and our own investments here.

It’s not for the faint hearted. I keep saying that and trust me I understand what we all have at stake. But building is what the intention is and now Shaun has a platform. A super team. A host of potential opportunities ahead. And I’m sure will have been second guessing ,networking , trying to create opportunities and swan web - feet paddling furiously behind these critical scenes !

We watch and wait. But this board has been assembled for a reason and they haven’t had their payday yet !neither have we ! But Rome wasn’t built in a day !

Hopefully in due course ,albeit with some pain giving birth to new pastures ahead , we will ALL get our payday ahead. Patience is a tough and at times scary position to be in. But this is elephant country and elephants take up to 22 months of internal growth before they give birth to more elephants !!

This is elephant country and I am hopeful of much more than I have here now when this rising platform comes to fruition.

Well it certainly isn't excited about reults from Newcrest atm that's for sure. Sigh..... was nice back in the day, when imminent reports or results drove the SP up even temporarily.....!

Let's see if anything further gives us a clue at least tonight! Hope it is worth waiting up for!
