Next Thursday is 6 weeks since the 24th October quarterly from Newcrest.

If they were to release next Tuesday morning in Oz then that would be Monday night here ready for a GGP update Tuesday morning of the AGM - wishful thinking but you never know.
If my memory serves me right we had a "visual mineralisation" RNS on HAD006 - 009 on the morning of the AGM last year so why not again.

I would also imagine that if there were infill holes that were quite close then they may even use the existing sump pits from previous holes and we wouldn't get any visible indication that a new collar had been started???

Yeah it's hard to pick out the infill holes - I think the black shapes we are seeing are the sump pits associated with the diamond drilling. If you look at the picture from this page you can see the sump pits to the side of the drilling.

I'm guessing this dries out over time and stands out less in the satellite images - so infill holes and maybe even re-entered shallower holes would be harder to identify. One thing is for certain NCM will still be working flat out to get as much done as possible - they haven't invested that much into this to kick back and take it easy. The next 9 months will fly by (hopefully)

Hi Bingo,

Here's a couple of screenshots from today's satellite image showing the distances between the East/West and North/South extremities - bear in mind though the East / West holes are drilled normally @ 70 degrees so they will hit mineralisation further in towards the centre.

I'm getting impatient now for the next assays - some of those extreme holes were drilled quite soon after the last assays so we'll definitely be getting them in the next set and the fact they've kept on drilling in those areas and gone further North & South is very encouraging IMHO.

The satellite picture for today is available - I can't see any real changes from the last one - definitely not in the SW corner.

NCM are still beavering away so I'm guessing the lack of visible progress could possibly mean that the holes they are drilling now are deeper and taking more time to complete.

Just checked on HC mate and Encounter are down over 7% in early trading so not too well received evidently.

Let's see if we can spot any new drill holes from the satellite view in the morning - I hope it's not a cloudy day in the Paterson lol.

Out of 17 RC holes the highest grade result that they got was 2m @ 1.7g/t.

I listen to the Sprott weekly wrap-up must weeks but must admit I'm a bit nonplussed when it comes to futures and the comex.
It seems to me that gold contracts are sold that never have any intention of being fulfilled and are just rolled and rolled. What happens if these contracts ever need to be fulfilled - there won't actually be enough physical gold in the world.
If that day ever comes then gold is gonna soar....

I can see why a lot of gold bugs consider the price to be manipulated to be much lower than it actually should be.

Expecting news of some form before the AGM next Tuesday week - anyone here definitely going??

Next satellite update should be available on Friday morning so at least we have that to look forward to. Probably won't make any difference to the SP but it'll be interesting to see if NCM keep concentrating on that SW area.

I doubt it - only 4 trades all morning. I would think there would be a lot more activity if the boys in the know were expected an RNS this morning.

Spurs fans not very happy looking at Twitter this morning saying it's George Graham all over again but if he wins a trophy I'm sure they'll warm to him.
Just need GH to deliver a trophy for us now - a sale of Firetower would be most welcome.
