George Frangeskides, Exec-Chair at Alba Mineral Resources, discusses grades at the Clogau Gold Mine. Watch the full video here.
Hi Mark, Telfer in it's current configuration wouldn't be able to process the Nickel - there would need to be modifications made to the processing train to allow this.
This isn't going to be an issue short-term as the SE crescent which is to be the first ore through the dedicated train at Telfer doesn't seem to contain any significant metals apart from gold and copper. The other base metals that Shaun is referring to would be when they would be looking at the bulk mining operation which would feed the other train thereby allowing plenty of time for the modifications to be done. This is all providing there are sufficient quantities and grades available but SD must be reasonably confident to put it out there in the public domain in that podcast yesterday.
Onwards & upwards (or sideways as the case may be) - Paddy
I just wonder if Shaun is preparing the ground for releasing some indication of the other base metals contained in Havieron with the next set of interims in June?
We know that NCM have opted out of the 6 weekly updates so does that give SD a little more leeway this time around. As Bamps said there were trace elements of all sorts of metals in the MMI surveys that were conducted prior to any drilling at Havieron.
What an exciting time to be invested - waiting for the usual blow-out gold & copper intersections and grades but now also hints at other goodies to be added into the mix. Is it any wonder that Shaun is fully intent on going into arbitration with this 5% - the longer he drags this process out, the better as far as I'm concerned.
Havieron is only going one way over the coming months - it keeps on giving and giving.

Sorry Dipp but I'm trying to transcribe those last few sentences by Shaun about the "other" opportunities that exist at Havieron - I don't think this can be emphasised TOO much. Shaun hasn't said this today without good reason - if he wasn't confident about these opportunities then he would have kept quiet - this is a significant development IMO.
"We have 20% copper - the best gold mines have copper - I love the diversification - I love the copper story and the outlet to EV's and we continue to consider base metal opportunities within Havieron - in due course we'd like to talk about perhaps other base metal opportunities at Havieron. I'm really attracted to diversification and I think Havieron brings that and in future metals which is a unique place to be. To have a combination of gold and copper and maybe some other other metals - you couldn't script a better platform"
Over to you NCM - let's see what you report in the next set of assays.........
Getting excited by developments all over again - Havieron, the gift that keeps on giving.

Very interesting comments from Shaun at the end of the podcast when he referred to the "other" base metal opportunities that exist at Havieron.
Now I wonder what might he be referring to in those comments - might Hydro have any ideas????

Sunday Roast Podcast is out

@Redirons - it is beyond my realms of experience to offer a theory, but we know the shorts are in place - that is undisputable & we know that every time there is a green shoot of recovery - it gets trampled on. They have probably deterred the day traders who used to drive GGP forward on the anticipation of results and that would draw other momentum traders in too. What they have failed to do is convince the strong base to capitulate.
If it gets bought every time it drops into the 12p's then it gives them a massive problem.
I'm not bothered one way or the other - it'll soon be mid-May and we are grinding our way inexorably to 5%, MRE 3, DFS, decision to mine, etc, etc.
Keep the faith - Paddy
Just catching up with the news this morning - all positive stuff - another chunk of exploration cash that can be squirreled away for other targets rather than Rudall.
Same old, same old as regards the SP - the short is stubbornly in place but not half as stubbornly as the PI's who know the ultimate destination. The state of the markets currently make me convinced more than ever that my money is tied up in the right place for now.
Tick - tock as the days pass by to production, who has more patience ????
ATB - Paddy
Hi Bamps - I am in full agreement with you on the lowball offer rejection regardless.
Havieron is without doubt going to be the star of WA mining for many decades to come IMO, it's already a once in a lifetime find and the grades and continuity that are being proven up in the Eastern breccia will make it the star of all Australia and perhaps even the world.
It really puts Newcrest in a bit of a position at the moment - every day that we carry on drilling and revealing more and more of the prize makes our 25% (assuming the 5% is a fixed date assessment) more and more valuable so what will there next move be?
It's fascinating to see it play out - I've always wanted to go mining - I'm young enough to not need the money short term but I appreciate there are others who haven't got that luxury. All I would say is, if you've held or bought during these last 18 months of pain then it just wouldn't make sense (to me anyway) to jump at the first offer that NCM bring to the table.
There's so much more to be revealed at Havieron - as Gervaise was fond of saying - we're still only scratching the surface.
Good Sunday to all - Paddy
From Dip666's notes on the 10min interview Shaun did after the last results:
* Update on financing options to develop Havieron?
- Again, part of what we want to do and it kind of dovetails into post PFS and around this 5% option, we want to be fully funded for the project
- It’s great that we get to leverage all this existing infrastructure and that manages down the CAPEX spend for a project of this scale, in reality it’s a very modest amount of CAPEX but it still needs to be funded
- Spoken with a number of banks, fair to say we have a group of preferred banks that we’re talking to now but we had comfortably over half a dozen main street banks we’d engaged with
- This asset has some hugely strong characteristics and qualities and it’s a nice asset to bank when you’ve got….. is it 1,2,3 or is it 4 decades of cash flow coming out of an asset and growth potential too, it lends itself to funding
- It’s a busy time for us, a busy process, but we’d like to get that announced and when we do I think we can be fully funded and again that’s a huge milestone towards the process
- And from there the timeframe to first cash flow or first production is relatively short.
I can't see anywhere in there that would even remotely suggest that things have gotten any more difficult from a funding perspective over the past few months - in fact if the quality of Havieron has been demonstrated to the banks then I think they would be even more likely to want to invest in an operation like Havieron rather than some of the other dodgy places they could like overheated properties with higher likelihood of defaults - all IMO of course.
Agreed that Shaun always has the equity option and there would be plenty of funds out there that would snap them up. He could always sell a portion of our 25% to a royalty streamer - loads of options available but I think asset & equity dilution are at the bottom of his wish list for now.

Can you imagine the size of the decline that would be needed to get one of those monsters underground - I don't think so @Bellers - these are designed for open pit operations methinks.
I'm pretty sure they have discussed using 30t Volvo articulated tipper trucks initially - eventually I think they will go to the conveyor option to get the throughput required if (when) they go to block caving.
ATB - Paddy
Pitiful volume down here at these levels, there's no way they are getting what they need and if anything the savvy PI's are loading up what they can - I know that I have this morning.
A few more stashed away in the ISA - better than money in the bank if you don't need it in the short term.
ATB - Paddy
Hi @Bamps21, we all know it's gonna be mahoosive - the only question is how mahoosive.
Thanks for taking the time to provide your take on it - easy to see why Shaun is determined to hold onto this launch asset.
I had another listen to the Sunday Roast Podcast from February last night, you can hear in Shaun's tone just how excited he is about the future - this was before the GGP MRE upgrade was released. As someone smarter than me said - if you know, then you know.....

From the Proactive Article:
"In the report, which was prepared with CSA Global, Greatland said it meets ESG criteria for Light Green Fund investments under EU sustainable finance regulations."
So this will start to open up Greatland to other avenues of investment - I'm sure Shaun has all this in hand, he doesn't strike me as one to leave any stone unturned.
ATB - Paddy
Agree Napthman, another box ticked for sure,
Nice report, can't see it making any difference today or tomorrow but setting us up nicely for when the II's decide it's time to jump in.
Shaun is not overly concerned about the short term, he has a longer game in mind here and so should we IMO.
