I remember reading similar articles about Rolls Royce back in 2020/21. Clearly designed to be bearish. No real mention of the cost saving initiatives etc. Every thing is negatively focused. Pay your money take your chances but being swayed by this sort of article?

Fish, yes I agree. Despite the lowly SP I think the company is better placed now than it ever was under Garat & Stamp when it was leaderless & lacked direction. I think under Iglesias this can turn but he will need time to implement his approach.

The war is causing negative sentiment across the board. Almost all sectors getting well hit. My concern specific to MCG is more the impact on their Saudi & Bahrain operations than fuel/interest costs, which are both hedged well in advance.

Haha, Teddy, I’m amazed this has stayed up. Not a good update imo although it has been battered down to be fair. I’ll keep on the sideline for now but looks a decent company just being screwed by the macro.

Always expected a pullback here. A near 50% rise in 2 days was always going to get sold into by profit takers. I quite honestly was surprised by how much it went up. The results were a pleasant change & nice to hear a positive presentation but lots to be done before this can seriously rerate. Next few days will be interesting to see if they drag it down much more!

Well, a great day & no pullback or retrace which is unusual. Hopefully momentum & FOMO can drive this higher over the coming weeks. At 60 ish it can contend for a FT250 spot again. That’s when it gets interesting as funds buy in. Some time away yet perhaps.

Not sure what to make of this. Obviously the headline number for OP is good. Cash position has me a bit confused. Does this include NASB proceeds? If we are now at £265m in cash, where has it all gone? £455m at Dec24 pre NA sale. Looks like £127m has been chipped off the debt, where’s the rest gone? Nice increase in ROCE. Not sure how market will view this.

LL, yes Itotally agree with all you say & funnily enough you remind me that I was close to buying Card @ 29p but was put off by all the RI looming commentaries. Anyway, I’m not intent on selling any of these. Will add in the morning if I like the RNS. Patience has historically always paid off for me in the past but it can be very frustrating.
