This sector is just getting completely smashed. Every share been hammered down!

Yep, a complete travesty of a Government. I thought I’d seen it all with Truss but this lot are horrendous!

A £300k mortgage was £10k a year cheaper in 2020/21. No stamp duty incentive as well. This current Government is destroying this sector from all angles!

Looking to take a dip in here. Why go for this over PSN? Any answers. The yields look similar if a bit more of a secure divi over there.

Interest rates were zero at the height of Covid!

Strike, let me be clear, I’d like to also buy shares here. I’ve followed this company for a long time & I actually think it’s a decent business. The current SP & recent SP has been ridiculously high IMO given the overall macro picture. I believe it is the dividend yield which has kept it that high. A high dividend yield is usually fools gold! I agree on the shorts as well. They’ll exit at some stage but I think they’ve still got more damage to do. 70p is a key support so if that’s breached this may well head towards 50 or lower. I think for someone with a 5-10 year outlook this could be a great buy just not yet!

9 declared short selling funds still believe it is well overpriced. Once they start reducing is the time to start buying. Won’t be for a while yet I think!

The dividend is the only reason to invest here. That has been obliterated in the last 3 days of SP drop. The market doesn’t like unjustifiable & unsustainable dividends. Only a matter of time before the div gets slashed again.

Got a long way to fall this one. P/E ratio too high & earnings falling. Any interest rate rise knocks another 10p off straight away.

The attraction of a 10% dividend yield is bizarre when your capital drops by 40% a year!

Hi, Ballantine, yes I think you’ve actually been here longer than me. Not been particularly pleasant but I’m sure this will turn at some stage. Personally now I feel more confident than I did when this was a lot higher with the buffoons at the helm. Amazing how far this has come down really! I’m based out near Beaconsfield. Use M40 most & I always feel a bit more comfortable seeing about a dozen NEX coaches on every journey.

It’s a company buying 3% of shares because they realise like most savvy retail investors that it’s a bargain price. It doesn’t mean a takeover or anything. The good side is that it will be a deterrent for active short sellers!

Dave, I hold about 700k of these now. Last buy was 100k at 17.8. Yes, I’m underwater for a lot of cash but not hugely concerned. This share will rerate in time. Like most stocks it just needs patience. The patient hands will be well rewarded here eventually!

Unfortunately Dave your historic commentaries on this bb don’t back up your trading claims. Rather than making retrospective claims to have bought at the bottom & sold at the high it would probably be more convincing to enter those claims contemporaneously for anyone to be remotely convinced!
