To give you an example of a RI. Rolls Royce was trading @200 about 2 weeks before RI announced. It gradually dipped on RI speculation. On the day the RI was announced the SP touched 101. It was a 10 for 3 @32p. After the initial panic the SP rose sharply as confidence grew. Personally i see the same thing or similar happening here. I will be buying at least 50k of these shares on announcement of a RI!

i guarantee you Jedclampit if there is a RI here it will not be priced @20-25p. Noone will buy into a RI at that price. I've been involved with a few RIs over time. 10p would be a generous price on a 10 for 3 basis although they may have to make it more generous than that. Depends how much cash they want to raise. For example if they only want a small raise they could do a 2 for 5 @5p. The bankers work this out to suit their needs but it won't be anywhere close to the market price!

fundamentals, can you tell me what CF's credit rating is please? you say it is 'good'. what does that mean? do S&P, Fitch & Moodys have it as A+ rated. Please advise

Rather bizarre that you flagrantly hurl abuse at me while all my forecasts have been correct thus far. All the while you say how it's going to recover strongly but by the way i got the Hell away from the falling knife a few weeks ago. Insane!

I would add, there are many shares out there which could offer potential & are underpriced. In the end for me if i invest in CARD or opt for something else it is a choice made by ME. It is MY money & i advise all potential investors to do all their own due diligence before investing & do not believe anything you read on these boards verbatim. They are opinions that is all!

As stated, i have no position currently in CF. Not short or long. I plan to invest once the company sorts it's solvency issues out. This is not an investable share at the moment but could be a great investment if they got their act together. That is my stance here. If people want to buy this today, i'm not saying it's a bad investment. My own view is it would be better to wait as i think the price has considerably further to fall!

i think all those mentioned had capital raises Tom at some stage. Correct me if i'm wrong!

A 10 for 3 RI priced at 10p would give them a capital boost of around £120m. This would enable them to pay down debt, satisfy the banks & allow for further future recovery investment. I believe this company need a restructure of it's retail model. Far too many stores at the moment. They could get rid of at least half. Need a leaner model here moving forward!

Roxbury House, i have given my opinion based on facts as i have researched them. Up to individuals to do their own research & make their decisions. My forecasts have been correct so far. Yours have not been. Simple as that! Oh, & as for holes. Have you crawled out of yours now to buy back in here or not?

Poker a 25p rights price when the market price is 30p. No chance. Who would bother? would be better to wait till all is done & dusted then invest. RI shares are offered at deep discounts due to high risk of failure!

10p RI price is very generous. Roxbury you need to do your research on rights issues. This one would have to be a deep, deep discount for underwriters or investors to have any interest in!

if the less experienced investor had listened to my advice a couple weeks ago they would've saved themselves 10p per share!

They are in a worse situation than Rolls Royce, albeit on a smaller scale. RR is Government backed by virtue of their golden share. They wouldn't let it fail! CF is really at the mercy of the market!

Roxbury House, you are in denial. Investing is not for you. You are too sentimental. I deal in hard facts. Noone should be hoodwinked by those falsely ramping an investment. My predictions have all been confirmed as they are based on researching the hard facts. If people want to stay in their cloud cuckoo land bubble & watch their money evaporate that is their choice. People should make business decisions based on fact not delusion!
