& lets face it Timy, when BP were 188 there were lots of alternative shares at great bargains. Not many bargains about now! i think lots of buyers will pile in here early next week!

yep i bought loads of BP @200. Still have a load. Sliced a chunk @315 in fact to take advantage here. You'll recall then the 150/170 brigade were out in force then too. They'll be gone from here very soon. Just watch. All very deja vu, repetitive stuff but makes me a nice bundle of cash so who cares!

Timy, i would agree, CEY & PFC are currently the 2 best value mid caps as far as i can see. Most other stuff has well recovered from Covid lows!

Danny, in practical terms it's impossible to police staff completely. People are responsible for their own actions. I'm an Operational Manager for a large company in my day job & i've seen more skulduggery over the years than i've had hot dinners. Am i liable for what they do because i'm their manager?? come on, of course not. I suppose applying this to PFC there is the argument well, where did he get all the bribe money from? Fact is, people will duck, dive, manipulate till the cows come home if they get something out of it in the end!

Personally i believe this is, after 4 years going to come to a resolution of some sorts this year . It seems it is about each side trying to save face now. Neither party wants to say they were wrong. There is i'm sure a lot going on behind closed doors to get this all over with. i'm sure there'll be some sort of statement (good or bad) along with the FY results in April. Wait & see for now!

Wigwam, you have to look back at all the dialogues from 2017. As i understand the SFO wanted Asfari (CEO) suspended which PFC refused to do as they have always denied the allegations. they suspended Chedid (COO) seemingly as a conciliatory measure. As i understand had they suspended Asfari some sort of DPA agreement would have been on the table. I think now the whole thing is about SFO saving face here. They will not want to say case closed, we got it wrong! My hope is that now all parties involved are gone (bar Asfari: NED) with new CEO Iskander in place he may be keen to accept a DPA fine so that the company can move on without this hanging over them!

Wigwam, The SFO want a DPA. PFC do not. That should in itself be a huge buying signal to investors. PFC for 4 years have strenuously denied all allegations of wrongdoing. It really is a disgrace that a long established multinational business should be allowed to have it's reputation defamed in this way. If it were happening to an individual, it would be up at the ICHR. Anyway it's an opportunity to get a blue chip company for a bargain price so happy days!!

TBS, i been looking @ Centamin too. Looks good value there. Didn't quite dip below the £1 which is where i'll dip in if it gets there!

I don't have all the data but i do remember ITV last year going up 10% when it got dipped from FTSE100 to FTSE 250!

None of us really no where the bottom is on any share. Here, maybe it was hit @93 the other day. Maybe will go to 80 or 60. The only actual bottom on any share which anyone can predict is zero when a company goes bust. With PFC there are either short termers looking to capitalise on a quick bounceback from here. Or there are people (i am one) who are prepared to hold for a significant length of time. Specifically to a time when the SFO issues get resolved. I am confident that once that time comes this share will multibag. We all know that SFO news can drop at any time. This week is was bad news. Next week it may be good. If you are not invested i suggest you read the fundamentals which are available to you on here & read some of the historic results & the companies website. Do not make any investment decisions based on these chat boards. They are opinions, that is all. I am a holder in this share. I believe it will rise in value. That is my opinion. Some think it will fall much more. That is their opinion. I am not a financial advisor & neither is anyone on here. DYOR. Only invest what you can afford & GL!

Broker Ratings/ Motley Fool etc. All a load of shysters. I never known them to get predictions right. On any share at all! That MF flips it's views every day!

Anyone who was in here in January will know this will be same story. A few bad days then a steady climb back up. This is after all just an extension of the January news! nothing new here after 4 years of this nonsense!

Yes true Garydav. And also need to view the Google after hours price with scepticism too. I remember couple months back BP was displayed as 508 after hours & everyone thought Exxon had launched a bid!

Wigwam, IIs are no doubt dumping PFC, that is the main reason for the initial drop. We've already heard Tosca have reduced & no doubt in the coming week we'll hear of others. This is fairly normal. IIs do not buy/sell like a PI does & they are dictated by lots of conditions. E.g. when SP falls below certain level:reduce; leaving FTSE250 etc... They usually sell via dark pool trading platforms as the volumes are large & lots of these will have drip fed in here over last few days helped along by the shorting hedges!
