Personally my investment in PFC is based on my belief that the company is massively undervalued purely on the basis of the whole SFO saga. I intend to remain invested here till that saga is resolved. The recent falls have surprised me a bit but i have just used it to double up my holdings, as i saw huge value here prior to the drop & my stance has not changed. I may be proven wrong but to me this is a huge bargain share at the moment & i will keep adding at the low levels as spare capital becomes available. I think the results day here will show the direction this is going. I expect a correction here but hey who knows. You pays yer money yer takes yer chance!

Kilman, i think you are specifically quoting SFO there. The consensus view was that there was huge compelling evidence to pursue RR through the courts. In that case there would have been loads going on behind the scenes. Don't forget the Government has a golden share in RR & as such is the majority shareholder. What would be the point of suing a Government owned institution spending loads of public money on lawyers etc.. to end up paying a fine to another Government institution. Not in the public interest!

& also worth noting that in the Rolls Royce case, there was considered to be sufficient evidence for a prosecution but it was deemed not to be in the public interest & that case ended in a DPA!

I think lots of people misunderstand this whole SFO/DPA/fines process. I've seen lots of posts over last few months saying fine, this , fine that blah, blah. Lets be clear. If the SFO believe they have sufficient evidence, they take it to the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) If, & only if the CPS on balance decide the evidence given is strong enough to secure a conviction will a case go to court. This is how the legal system works in the UK. PFC are currently innocent under English Law. The share price/reputation etc has suffered as they are deemed 'guilty by association' due to Lufkin's conviction! If you personify PFC there would be a public outcry. Tantamount to an individual being convicted & interned for 4 years without trial & publicly smeared by innuendo without having their say in a court of law. People should ignore all BS of fines being spouted on this board. If any fine were ever to be 'imposed' on PFC it will take 4-5 for the legal process to reach that conclusion!

Yes, agreed the swing/day traders are obvious here. I have no real issue with it per se. We're all here to make cash in the end. But I've noticed the old school long termers (modestus/LeeRex et al) are clearly waiting for the dust to settle & are probably fed up of all the deramping & hence stopped posting for now. Yes, some of the outlandish claims do spook out some of the less experienced investors which is a shame, but I guess if you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen!

They can only enforce a fine if they charge PFC with an offence. That will involve a court case which can result in acquittal or conviction. That can lead to an appeal if it is a conviction. If it goes to court a judge decides the level of any fine not the SFO. All this stuff would take potentially another 3-5 years. As such it is not in SFO/PFC or public interest! The most likely outcome here I believe would be a DPA with a fine which would not have a crippling effect on the business (my guess is £300m very tops)

Gary, no chance. No big fine here as no charges. Small fine maybe if it suits the company to put SFO issue to bed & agree DPA. If someone came to your front door demanding a few grand because someone scratched their car nearby. You'd tell them to take a hike. Same principle here!!

Cookie, I will be filling my 2022 ISA with these next week so more than happy for price to stay at low levels for a while. I'm glad you realise the key word here. 'sentiment'. that is all this about. We both know this will rise. Personally I find the price forecasting nonsense on here rather humorous. Gary, delayed results have been all over the place because of Covid. Nothing sinister in it. Why on earth would a company delay what they inevitably have to release at some stage. They have nothing to gain by a delay in results!

Cookie, no. They are still 'mid April' so should here a definite date soon! they don't just drop results in. We will get a confirmed date!

Cookie, this is my philosophy too & has been on all my investments historically. If the fundamentals are sound, the share will come good eventually. If you look at it from a 3rd party perspective it's understandable why the share price has fallen to these levels & it is easy for the shorts to drive it further. Without looking below the surface & just seeing RNS's like that on 15th March & constantly having the SFO stuff hanging around it's easy to see why it doesn't scream buy to an unfamiliar investor. All this I suspect will calm down a bit if the results offer some assurances! DG I would expect an RNS confirming the results date probably next week sometime!

Cookie, keep calm. Don't concern yourself with intraday falls too much. Remember why you bought in here. Re-read the company fundamentals & December trading update. Again lots of people are here hollering unjustified forecasts. Who cares? the important thing is not where this share is this week or next week it is where it will be in a years time & beyond. None of the low price hecklers have any justification for the predictions. Let's see how the results pan out & then we'll have a far better view of what's happening here!

Point is, why do you see value @79p but not at 85p or 95p? What difference does the 6p or 16p make in your valuation. If you do not see value in today's price level you should really not see value in this company at all!

but if it dropped to 79p why would it not go further down? there is no technical history here to suggest a support level of 79p!
