Beware the Banker: comments after March results

As it happens, the results are excellent and the pipeline is strong. In fact it's over double the current market cap. That's why my opinion has changed back again. I'm not on a personal agenda, I have a small investment here and I'm confident of a large percentage return.
I definitely won't be selling my £2000 investment until it's worth over £4000, that will help me out tremendously with my new house :)

Agreed JTD, some complete tosh being sprayed here. Obviously some trying to get in at a lower price still. Rather pathetic. There was only a few facts which the update has informed us of. Namely:
Rev: will be £11.5m at least for H1 & expected higher H2; (13%below expectation)
EBIT: at £1m for H1
£117m pipeline of new business
15 new cloud contracts signed up
strategic partnership talks ongoing
material growth expected H2 & beyond.

That is all. Nothing else to go on. The end. The rest is pie in the sky speculation!

Can't really understand why any PI's would be selling at this price which is all time ever low nearly. A definite hold & probably add more tbh. But, yes agreed i sort of expected this would bounce up a bit from the lows. As probably no news here for a couple months this could well drift lower. Wait & see for now!

IanB, i would've thought the cost of transition is the reduced revenue as opposed to any meaningful CAPEX spend. This is a capital light business!

HKK, re Petrofac. Personally i believe what we are seeing here @Loop is similar to what happened @PFC after the ADNOC bloodbath. A huge overreaction & a drop from 136 right down to 90. It then went right back to 148 again. Looks like another rinse & repeat is going on there again. I believe Loop could have a similar trajectory albeit a different sector. I see lots of similarities. Main difference with PFC is they have a very impressive new CEO in Iskander which Loop sorely lacks. I will be back in PFC soon i have no doubt!

it's difficult to believe that it was floated 5 years back @£1. Then took £4 a share off punters to fund the Meeting zone buy & now @40p. No doubt all the while the top brass pulling huge salaries to oversee the utter devastation. Really quite an atrocious display of arrogant mismanagement!

Chriss is a bell cheese who goes around slating on every share except Stagecoach where he is invested at over £1 with no chance of seeing the money again. He missed huge gains on Petrofac for sure. just a best ignored saddo really!

It seems to me that this company is being priced as a near insolvency case but the fundamentals show none of that. I want to buy a whole load more here but i'm convinced we're not being told something. What is the market reading which i must be missing. A lack lustre trading update doesn't justify a SP bloodbath like this has had!

if i'd listened to Chriss i'd have missed out on a 40% profit on a large investment in Petrofac & would've put the money in Stagecoach @ £1+ as he said that was going to soar & PFC was going under!! LOL

yes, i agree. I can't see where they'd have spent £12m given the current climate. It just seems bizarre.

Bit disappointing not to see any meaningful bounce here but seems to be holding the 40 level. Can someone explain whether i'm missing a trick here or something. I invested here based on the fundamentals which just really look as good as it gets. I'm not really too savvy on the products offering or anything but just based on the financials this looked like a pretty decent offering. Am i right in thinking that with the cash in bank levels of £12m that the actual operational business is now being valued at just £10m? They are saying h1 revenues of no less than £11m & higher in H2. So if we conservatively say £30m rev FY with a high profit margin on revenue. So a company generating £30m a year is valued @£10m. The net assets here are £65m against MC £22m. An astounding price/book ratio. Forgive my naivete but if i'd invested in say Amigo or Hurricane Energy, i could understand the drops. I feel i must be missing something here. Can anyone enlighten me. Thanks

Agreed this week is about the share stabilising & some reasonable assurance that the bottom has been hit. I'm confident there will be lots of buyers who've seen the momentous drop here who are waiting to jump in & buy here but want a confirmed turnaround before they commit themselves!
