Minus 4 mamma mia!! Didn't expect it to go this low.
Only 25m set aside as it was mostly addressed in 2010. BOI ahead of pack here.. Slump today only partially explained by tracker.
Unity within the EU. I doubt too many of us know the ins and outs of the Spanish situation but the Catalans had their vote and clearly want to secede from Spain. The Scots had a legitimate referendum, why not let the Catalans? It's a small region and will represent no more than a momentary blip in the financial markets. Hiding comment over the top, I apologise.
Part of our territory is still under British jurisdiction and you're on here ranting and raving about the Catalans...Leave Iberian politics to the Iberians, it's none of our business! A good hiding is what you need!
@Borninusa re 33% cgt etc... You are dead right. It is absolutely disgusting. FG hugely disappointing. Absolutely no vision. Varadkar just another Macron type plonker.
Anyone following Crh? Despite big announcement last week, has reversed all its gains. SP plummeting. Dragging boi down with it.
@rangers4 Brexit quite clearly already priced into this share. Even the dogs on the street know that!
Can expect a bit of a bounce
It's the silly season lull. Low volumes.
Probably.

Miniscule volumes today. Banks across Europe flying today. What is this b@#&ocks!
Any opinions on whether or not now is a good time to accumulate boi stock? Anyone think aib could go negative by Monday?
Aib a good stock to short in the short term. Boi less impaired loans, higher level provided for. Both banks probably a good bet longterm. Boi performance at the moment miserable. Thank god CEO moving on.
You'd be a bit late playing it with boi anyway. 22 point something.. even after Moody's upgrade etc. Can't get any worse than that!! Or can it?
Mother of god there is no let up! Friday can't come quick enough
@cooking Aib will be discounted. Up to you if that represents value. Profitable Irish banking sector in the medium term. The time to accumulate in boi is now. I wouldn't be worrying about what the English do. They will sort their own mess out eventually.
@cooking Aib will probably price at a discount to boi but in the medium-long term will they be any different? Not really. The question is whether that discount represents value. Irish banks a good buy for the foreseeable.
Do you not the the bank itself would be pursuing this if there were something untoward? Half the banks in Europe are subject to stock shorting.
In terms of npl's, how does AIB loan book compare to BOI?
