After seeing that BBC 1 o'clock news piece, I also contacted Consilium (Consilium Strategic Communications (Financial Media and Investor Relations). I emailed that the piece had said, "Interferon beta-1a (and other drugs) has been shown by the Trial ‘Recovery’ and the WHO’s Solidarity Trial to have little or no benefit in reducing deaths due to Covid."
Consilium quickly came back with, "Thank you for your inquiry.
We are aware of the piece that aired today on BBC, and are aware that it is misleading, having not classified interferon beta 1a as injected rather than inhaled. We are working to ensure that this nuance is understood by the BBC, who have obviously previously reported positively on various aspects of Synairgen's trials and progress.
Thanks, nonetheless, for bringing it to our attention."
Great for replying straightaway. I gather injecting is not considered beneficial unlike our inhalation medication
