Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
did anyone ask what there thoughts are on as to why the SP seems locked in a tight range despite 6 months of positive news and growth?
Reply was they can't comment on something that is out of their control ...
It was a very quick yes bakky. I did hear it.
No mention of timescales though, so eventually, some time in future ...
Also ...
In the last Investor Update, Barry Hextall talked about "bottom line profitability in the VERY NEAR term (15:40)" ... so hopefully they will announce that as well (as opposed to profitable EBITDA) ...
WE can only hope ... LOL
Don't forget this is using the manual version. We are still waiting for a high throughput automated version to hit the shelves.
"The Company aims to release a "Research Use Only" version of Clarigene™ SARS-CoV-2 test by the end of June 2020 and a CE marked in vitro diagnostic kit to follow in July 2020. The test will initially be a manual assay and development has commenced with a fully automated version aimed at high throughput laboratories to follow in the coming months."

If I understand it correctly most covid testing is done with PCR tests (a la Clarigene) which should be an ideal candidate for selling our recently acquired Coastal Genomics Ranger technology to increase throughput ...
I might also be totally wrong though ... LOL.
1) "Ranger Technology’s suite of hardware and software leverages a proprietary means of assessing gel electrophoresis"
2) "The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is a biochemical technology used to amplify a specific DNA target in a test tube. ... After the PCR reaction, the amplified DNA can be visualized and analyzed by agarose gel electrophoresis."

"We've grown so much in the last 2 years that 30% annual growth would , I think, be almost disappointing!"
Trouble is we are still loss making and as in the past, growth in revenues is meaningless unless it translates to earnings. Acquisition £earn-outs will be a drag on earnings for a few years yet ... Hopefully covid revenues will prove to be earnings +ve ...
It's mutated already ...

The words "clear timetable" are at odds with the very next sentence where you immediately have to make assumptions.
It's a bit like meeting expectations, and no one knowing what the expectations were in the first place. Or meeting expectations (while ignoring the ones that you did not meet).
Just saying it as it is, LOL ...
He is clearly aiming for >>10k+ tests per month. My two favourites lines from the presentation are;
"I am looking forward to updating you in September where we will be hopefully showing that we've hit our capacity and we will be talking about gaining more additional capacity as we look to built that business ..."
"We are pretty confident that we can get our product into most if not all of the main global territories ..."
It's all to play for.
You are clutching at straws ... This was all decided and discussed months ago ...

I didn't hear the 250k/mth or anywhere near that number mentioned ???
Good presentations, explains a lot. I am holding tighter than ever.
Thanks for highlighting it Florida.
I would take the view that anything from Walbrook is in the public domain and ripe for wider dissemination. They are YGEN public relations after all.

#1 Lossmaking -0.4p per share and missed the forecast by a factor of 4.
Last year they reported +1.0p so a swing of -1.4p per share despite a £revenue increase of +87%. Everything else counts for nothing if you cannot convert £revenues into £profit.
IMHO.
"We all know our value is greater than 17p, it just been surpressed, so was it a good deal. Its just allowed the iis and management to get more of the company at cheap as chips prices."
By the same logic, it also allows PIs to do same ... whether you or anyone else chooses to do so or not is a different question.
Who knows ... they might be selling so they can buy back in later like a couple of others on this board... LOL
