I'm not VP's greatest fan but to be fair he has been correct with his calls overt the last 2 years. Ocado has been good to be but only when it has been in a good positive uptrend which is not the case at the moment.
I've made nice profits on this over the last year, very happy. However the wife is not so happy with the prices and also the use by dates. I hope they are not cutting back on quality in the quest for greater profits.
It's a long time since I've been on here. I bought some during lockdown boredom following advice from TomE at 9p and sold a year later at 21p. I saw that it had fallen 30% and came on here to see what the reason was.
I am amazed that most are celebrating the big fall. This is madness. The current share price is what the market believes is the true valuation, taking into account all future possibilities. The blind faith on here beggars belief. A lot of people have lost a lot of money, actual or paper.
I've sold today after holding for my normal 12 month period. A dissapointing loss of 42% but my successes with this in previous years still leaves it as my best ever investment.
I have no idea of the fundamentals of the business but in the past when it takes off it has rocketed and there were many doomsters and gloomsters during those periods.
Hopefully it will rocket again and I can catch it at some stage.
Boyobach, you are right, I read this board as light entertainment !
To be fair I don't have any idea who the 14 brokers or analysts are or the publication dates but it's the only data I have available easily.
I have an affection for OCDO because it has been my most profitable share in the past. I currently have a small losing position. I suspect I will end up selling at a loss but that happens with 40% + of my investments so I don't lose any sleep over it.
