The court has confirmed that the settlement is in final stages. That info has come from the lawyers during hearing. Given that lawyers are officers of the court and have a duty to the court, it gives confidence this is the case I.e. that the settlement actually is in the final stages (rather being bs from the company).

As regards land acquisition, the 12 licences subject to the JV will need to be acquired by the 3 SPVs. So too will the land subject to the licences. It is easy to see how this could attract tax and regulatory issues which require the lawyers to advise accordingly.

There is no reason, other than nervous PIs speculating, that the JV has fallen over. It would be strange if it had and the most recent RNS was still referring to a JV.

The well spudded 2 weeks ago. It should have hit target depth by now - hence thoughts of news leak in Poland.
