I think his time will just fizzle out unfortunately. My lasting image of Mather will probably be him at the Agm, in his badly fitting suit, slouched in his chair, looking utterly crestfallen, as he knew his reign was over.

It’s kind of a shame really, as one of his big final acts (the Franco Nevada deal) Was probably good for the longer term interests of us small PI’s, but was probably what ultimately lost him votes among the big boys. Having said that, his endless failures to deliver on milestones and his own hyperbole mean I’m looking forward to Having a fresh pair of hands paddling our canoe.

We may get news of the start of Rio drilling, how much impact would that generate do we think? See us back to 24? We need monetisation news and nothing else... but there is no guarantee the next news is positive. We can only hope and hold.. I see NM just fading away without even any attempt at one last hurrah, or even a statement..

To be honest, there wasn’t really anything in that RNS... what we have is people desperately seeking something in it to prove their argument.... have solg ever released an RNS just to announce they will be attending a conference? The reference to future relationships may hint at the change of direction many on here including me want, but this was a pretty empty RNS really.

We would all be rich if we could answer that

That’s a perfect summary of where we are here

I know they have hinted at a new structured approach to the release of news.... but I am pretty certain if they were to pull a superb core out of the ground, at any of the drill sites, and receive impressive assays from it, it would be in an RNS immediately.

This is frustrating, but I am assuming they have nothing of an impressive nature to show to the market... yet... I live in hope.
