We need to get a shift on bringing this Solgold story to a close, as when the Chinese economy tanks.. the knock on effects to the global economy will make the credit crunch seem like a minor issue. And it’s already started to happen. Metal prices are not going to be pretty.. we don’t want to be trying to flog this asset during a price bottom.

The information is out there already, it just doesn’t get much detailed coverage in mainstream news outlets.

People still seem to assume the Chinese are a limitless, economic dream… it’s debt situation is becoming a mess, much like the wests..

I don't think there is any evidence of any willing buyer at present.. If there was any, any at all, the share price would be well north of 16 pence.

Any talk from Scott about interested parties, I put in the same basket as the same kind of vague words from previous CEOs, way back to Mather days where he regularly spoke of a dozen majors circling and showing interest.... its just non committal, positive management speak, bigging up the asset and the company.

Will there be any corporate events between now and Christmas?? or next summer even?? Who knows... But its going to be a very uncomfortable AGM if we are still sat on our hands hoping for a buyer to show up..

HubrisHunter over on twitter, made a point a while back, that due to the nature/structure of how things are registered/listed etc that any sale of Alpala would technically not need an EGM vote approval.

I'm not saying he is correct, but it was an interesting technicality he highlighted..

Probably will drift yes.. almost certainly.

Can you give us any update with regard to Solgolds intention to JV thew regionals? how is that progressing?

So this is good news this morning.

Now Solgold are to pay $75 million in advance payments. (Ecuador government could teach Franco Nevada and Osisko a thing or two about negotiating royalty agreements)..... we are not funded for that, even with selling the inherited CGP stock.

Cauldwell needs to clearly explain in this call, where that money is coming from, that it is all arranged.. or the markets will assume another raise is on the way. It would be nice if he explained Solgolds intention to JV Cascabel to fund it.. but I doubt that will happen in todays presentation.. If finance was already in place It would have been announced as part of the RNS.

Of course the markets have no interest... of course there is no large volume...

We are mothballed until someone with deep pockets decides to make a move on the asset..

and we have nothing in the schedule to generate any interest...

At the presentation, Cauldwell is just going to fluff out the license extension as a 'thing' he can point to, to show how hard everyone is working at Solg towers... how things are moving along nicely.

Unfortunately I believe Solg is now and has been for a while, a bottom of the drawer share to hold…. Or a share to trade around the edges to try to reduce any average price of a holding.

As a company, we have struggled/failed to joint venture anything, despite being told for several years, they intended to begin joint venturing the regionals…. I clearly remember Twigger on a stage at some Presentation, way back, asking anyone interested to come forward… it was like a desperate plea.. 6 months after claiming they were in due diligence with interested parties….

I’m left wondering the true economic viability of Cascabel in the current credit cycle.. We would obviously cripple ourselves trying to progress it ourselves… and all the big boys know it… so don’t need to rush in to any Monetisation deal… and by monetisation deal, you could now read ‘rescue package’ as any major interested in Cascabel knows we are mothballed until someone steps in… or until Ecuador reclaims the license due to Solg and they can then deal with the government themselves..

All the promise of any further exploration has dried up under Cauldwells ‘efficiency’

even the like of Irwin have clearly tempered their language regarding the possibility of any deal in the near future…

We are stranded…. I’m left wondering what our current management can achieve…

I’d very much like to be wrong Add, but my expectations are for more fluff and bluster from us… more talk about making Solgold more efficient… (vague non specifics about lowering costs) more vague non specifics about the Strategic review progress…. ( a convenient thing to hide no corporate progress behind)

I’m guessing it’s just another attempt to keep the low level investors happy, to again portray the ‘oh everything is going great guys, going so well back there… the guys are really putting in a shift’ generic, vacuous and vague presentation, where someone talks for 25 mins, but actually says nothing…. I really do hope I’m proven wrong

I hope your right Add, and that something substantive development will be the reason for this presentation… however I doubt it will be… I’d be surprised if anyone moves before the imminent election. . Solg management seem more than happy to just coast along achieving vey very little… thy seem to have become a lifestyle company for the board…

Be interesting to know what stage, of his 3 stage plan, we are sat at now..

Basically we would get a spike in the share price on any JV news that was accelerating Cascabel development to production.. the size of the the spike would be dependant on how Solg were contracted to fund it (free carry would be ideal, but unlikely) and any spike would almost certainly be very short lived, as longer term holders who are just looking a for any reasonable exit point after all the frustration would inevitably race to flog their holdings... after that it would be another long slog of shareprice depreciation, as time to extraction and costs weigh on it... until just before mining begins..

Basically get out... wait a bit, with your money somewhere else... then maybe get back in at a much lower price again... if the board has been cleared out, and replaced with proven, capable, people.

Until that help arrives, he’s just going to sit there and pretend he planned to stop on purpose
