SYDNEY--Santos, Australia's second-largest producer of oil and natural gas, on Monday said it has received a takeover offer from a consortium led by Abu Dhabi's national oil company worth some US$18.72 billion.

Santos said the consortium, led by Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. unit XRG, is offering 8.89 Australian dollars a share, equivalent to US$5.76, in cash. That offer--described by Santos as final--follows two proposals made in March worth A$8.00 a share and A$8.60 a share, respectively.

Santos said it intends to recommend that shareholders accept the deal terms if a binding offer is made by the consortium, which also includes Abu Dhabi Development Holding Co. and private-equity firm Carlyle.

A deal that would rank as one of the largest in the energy sector this year and talks are happening against a backdrop of rising crude-oil and natural gas prices as the Israel-Iran conflict threatens to disrupt the global supply of energy. Brent crude--the global benchmark--rose by 12% last week as investors bet that Iran's oil exports of some 1.5 million barrels per day could be curtailed.

One can only speculate on who that high profile person could be, but i would imagine that the US government would like to have some control over the gas that will be exported from the NT to the fat east.

Thanks WW, let's hope that these fraks go well, and that POQs cunning plan starts to materialise to the benefit of us shareholders. One other thing that POQ wants, is the reverse split, change our name, and float on the US market.. If POQs plan is to play the waiting game, then I don't see the need for spending our money to do all this, there are plenty of international buyers taking over UK companies, no need to set up in the US, just to sell in the next 12 to 18 months IMO. • The Shenandoah South 3H (SS-3H) well was successfully drilled, cased and cemented with 5-½-

inch casing to a measured depth of 21,169 feet (6,452 metres) within Beetaloo Basin exploration

permit EP 98.

• The well was drilled in 25 days (spud to total depth (TD)) and achieved an average drilling rate of

843 feet per day, 10 days and 43% faster than the SS-2H well, the only well previously drilled to

total depth of more than 20,000 feet. This follows the successful implementation of key lessons

from wells drilled earlier in the 2024 campaign.

• The SS-3H well is the first well drilled and cased with a useable 10,000-foot (3,048-metre)

horizontal section below 8,000 feet true vertical depth (TVD) for stimulation in the Beetaloo Basin.

• Data from the SS-3H well has demonstrated strong gas shows and a continuation of the high-

quality shale and rock properties observed in the Shenandoah region, including a gentle,

undulating structure with no faulting observed along the ~10,000-foot (3,048-metre) section.

• The Liberty Energy (NYSE: LBRT) stimulation equipment and sand has been mobilized to location

ahead of a 100 – 120-stage stimulation campaign, which is planned to commence in early 1Q 2025.

• The SS-2H ST1 well is planned to be stimulated with up to 45 stages following the casing of the

horizontal section to 5,577 feet (1,700 metres). The SS-3H completion design is expected to

increase up to 75 stimulated stages over the 10,000-foot section.

• IP30 flow tests from both wells remain on track for release in 1Q 2025.

Spudding of the second well in the Shenandoah South Pilot Project, Shenandoah S2-4H

25 November 2024 – Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd. (TSXV: FO, AIM: FOG) is pleased to announce the spudding of the Shenandoah S2-4H (“SS4H”) horizontal well (previously referred to as the SS3H well) in exploration permit 98 in the Beetaloo Sub-basin, Northern Territory, Australia with Falcon Oil & Gas Australia Limited’s (“Falcon Australia”) joint venture partner, Tamboran (B2) Pty Limited (“Tamboran B2”).

SS4H is the second well of the Shenandoah South Pilot Project and will be drilled from the same well pad as the Shenandoah S2-2H ST1 sidetrack well (“SS2H ST1”) using the H&P super-spec FlexRig® Flex 3 Rig.

The SS4H well is estimated to be drilled to a total measured depth of 20,669 feet (6,300 metres) including a horizontal section of approximately 10,000 feet, (3,000 metres), targeting the Amungee Member B-shale.

Following the drilling of the SS4H well, Liberty Energy will complete the stimulation of the SS2H ST1 and SS4H wells, with 34 and 60 stages planned at the respective wells. Stimulation of both wells is expected to commence in Q1 2025 with 30 day initial production flow rates expected in the same period.

Falcon Australia will continue its participation in the Shenandoah South Pilot Project at its elected participating interest of 5%.

Philip O’Quigley, CEO of Falcon commented: “The spudding of the SS4H horizontal well is an exciting next step in the development of the Beetaloo Sub-basin and we will look forward to updating the market as operations progress.”

Northern Territory Minister for Mining and Energy, Gerard Maley, visited the Beetaloo Sub-Basin to reinforce the Territory Government’s commitment to the basin’s development.

During the visit, Mr Maley viewed current operations by Tamboran Resources at its Shenandoah South site on Exploration Permit 98.

Mr Maley said the development of the Beetaloo Sub-Basin was an urgent priority of the Territory Government, as it is expected to create jobs, generate further private investment and build on the Territory’s competitive advantages.

“The Territory’s gas is what will help rebuild the Territory’s economy, and we have this resource here and ready to go,” he said.

“It will underpin renewables, power manufacturing and importantly, contribute to Australia’s energy security.

“My recent visit to Tamboran’s operations gave me a first-hand view at the level of investment, technology and expertise that is being applied to the development of the Beetaloo,” Mr Maley said.

Following successful flow results in early 2024 at its Shenandoah South 1H (SS1H) well, Tamboran is now drilling the first of two wells, the Shenandoah South 2H (SS2H) well at a new location about 5km from the SSH1 well.

“Tamboran is currently building on the favourable results it received in April this year, with new flow results expected in 2025 which will provide definitive confidence for investors to unlock more potential at the Beetaloo,” Mr Maley said.

“Hopeful and determined”: Tribunal President will hear Environment Centre

NT’s application to stop Tamboran Resources’ Beetaloo works next week

The Environment Centre NT’s (ECNT) urgent stay application has been set for an

all-day hearing before the Northern Territory Civil and Administrative Tribunal

(NTCAT) President in Mparntwe Alice Springs next Tuesday 5 November 2024.

ECNT will be asking the Tribunal to make an order that stays (pauses) the NT Government’s approval of Tamboran’s environment management plan until the NT

Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NTCAT) makes a final decision on the merits

review ECNT launched in August, which seeks to overturn the Shenandoah South

fracking approval.

ECNT wrote to Tamboran on 27 August requesting that drilling works be delayed until the Tribunal makes a final decision. However, the company reported on 29

August that it had commenced drilling works. Tamboran has agreed not to

commence any fracking works until 17 November 2024, after the stay application has been heard.

Yes, any longer term plan is unclear, just POQs plan to reverse split within 12 months, likely to be done in Q2, if drilling results are favourable. POQ will be aiming for a $15 SP when the split happens.
