Drop in commodities partly due to Glimmer of light re Russia possibly pulling back its troops sooner than expected wih OIl falling with OPEC announcement on increased reported crude production for February above expectations and planned ramping up of US shale oil production through 2022 fill the gap. What is certain is the commodities Rollercoaster is likely to continue with Russian uncertainty....

Ukriane situation has certainly had an impact on Brent Crude today! Rollercoaster for commodities next week with $100 WTI & Brent becoming more likely than possible Monday if geopolicitical tensions remain high currently trading $95+ in a steep linear upward movement. Pipped $96 earlier. BP, Shell & Small caps like Tullow might do well Monday although may be sell off of ther equities if Russia invades Ukraine. Next week is certainly going to be lively!

Thanks Brombard. Taking a look at the Environmental Assessment Decision, as a Minerals Planner seems solid. Outside the Carribou routes and a long way inland or polar bears! Fishing and these two issues seem to be the Key concerns. The revocation of the permits issued in November to due to shift in policy under the Biden administarion isn't an issue with this project and does not affect 88 Energy. Just have to wait for the Permit Decision to be announced, pretty soon I would imagine.

Spare a thought for the workers on this Tough work! Its currently -45C (-47F) in the Prodo Bay area thats 18C lower than the lowest ever UK temp recorded!!

I have heard the Merlin2 permit decision has been made. Does anyone know whether it has been formely permitted? Maybe a statement on AUS opening?
