Just to say that the Liverpool Metro Branch will open on 13th March.
No further reasons given for the 3 month delay, but rumour is that they had not conformed to certain planning conditions

The share price makes Metro a very good value takeover.
What about clubbing together and buy it????

What is the date of Lloyd's and Metro results....
Do anyone think an announcement could be made as the results are published at the same time?
I wonder........

I visited Liverpool 2weeks ago the roadworks were all completed the branch was all lit up and completed no one was in the branch just a sign on the door saying opening shortly.

I think this is a tie up with Everton football club Metro have become the clubs bankers and have been for some time. This could be the reason Liverpool store is delayed opening so the team can be at the opening

This branch is not open yet and never has been to date so the reviewer is lying

No it never opened. I asked in a shop next door they said there was an issue with underground cabling for the computers but no work was going on around the bank

I was in Liverpool yesterday afternoon and it was not open. No staff visa le but it was lit up. There was a notice on the doors saying. Metro Bank opening very soon..

I would have thought Fidelity would make Mrtro Bank fit into their range very well. They could then promote their products in stores. In the USA they have a bank offering savings, current acc, and investments. Just a thought

Planning permission has been granted for a new Metro Bank store in Chester. This was approved last October. The shops it is replacing are H Samuel and Warren James both now closed. The site is in a very prominent junction position with Lloyds on one corner and RBS on another corner

I have heard that Andy Bell of AJ Bell Investment Managers may be considering a bid as the branch network gives them a southern outlet for their investment products. Plus bid price to net asset value is a fantastic oppertunity

Branches will have their day as more mainstream banks close their branches. Look at Nationwide Building Society always busy, always a queue at the cashiers. Metro Bank make their money on safe deposit boxes and business banking. They no doubt will enter other things like Isas and added value current accounts. Their business model is fantastic

Everton Football club have moved their banking to Metro Bank in readiness for the Liverpool branch opening. Google it if you like.

Just been advised by my pal in theCheshire planning that Metro have put in and been approved in Oct last for a branch in Chester

Liverpool branch is held because of an IT problem in the roads outside.
So, I took a trip over to Liverpool and find the branch all sparkling and loads of the road in front and the side dug up, I asked the guys whats going on they said we are laying new cables for the bank.
Looks like someone at Metro messed up here, but the branch will open , they say £ or $th week Jan
