GFD, fully agree with everything you say. Yes, I have been keeping tabs on the power generation market in Argentina, and aside from the forthcoming elections, the sector looks to be in better shape than it was before Mauricio Macri was elected.
I mentioned a couple of weeks ago about the capital cost of building a power plant in order to gauge the possible value of EdS. A couple of sites I have looked at show ball park figures of £1m per MW. Being conservative, which is not in my nature, you are looking at somewhere in the £100m mark to build a 138 MW plant. I would welcome any views on this as I have no detailed knowledge.
The build cost for EdS was somewhere in the region of £50m, if my interpretation of the old reports are correct, which leads me to believe we should be sitting on a valuable asset providing our financial rates of return match industry norms.
Clearly, the assets needs to be sold and the funds returned to shareholders. Nothing against accountants, but I do not put them in the entrepreneurial category.
I also agree with your 4.4p per share valuation.
