Okay.....but there was big gap between those trades. It looked to me like someone bought expecting a bigger increase in the share price, but then got cold feet when the expected further increase failed to materialise.

but there is no corresponding sell trade showing, so it has to be a buy.

A large order for 500k shares has just gone through at the full ask. Haven't seen that sort of volume before.

bbr391 - thanks. I feel very confident here, given that we have a new set of directors who are being overseen by the administrators for Sterling Trust. For me, it is not a question of whether I will make a return from this level, but how much it will be . Given the right set of circumstances, I can see this getting back to the 8.00p range if the company continues as an independent. You just need to look at the valuations placed on power generators, and even that is a low-ball figure. This should re-rate big time once the outstanding creditors are paid, and that could happen at anytime.

Well....you can't buy any online at the moment and the bid price has moved up to 1.30p. I have placed a limit buy order....let's see if it is filled.

Thanks GFD. Yes, you are right, there is no reference to Note 5 in the consolidated balance sheet. Also, you would need to be a very good accountant to understand all the cross-references to Rurelec and to understand what the hell is going on. What I did find interesting is Note 17 - related party disclosures, where there is no mention of him being associated with EdS.

Good to see the increases level of interest, although I can't understand why someone would buy at 1.49p and then sell less than an hour later for 1.28p. So PE's bluff has been called and he has been found wanting. Adding back the impairment on the investments, etc in EdS gives us a NAV of circa 10.00p(from memory), so we have a long way to go before we get anywhere near a share price that reflects the worth of the company. Given the time and focus the administrators of Sterling Trust are putting into gaining a satisfactory outcome for the creditors, I cannot see them accepting less than circa 4.00p, and I believe this is where the share price should be until the share sale is resolved. I intend to keep adding on any dips, as there is the potential for significant gains in the medium term from this low base.

Can't buy currently online....yet again. Just wait until the directors release further positive news.

Good to see a bit of activity and the share price rising. I really do believe all of the negatives are out of the way now, and despite the best attempts from PE, I believe we can now see a gradual recovery of the share price. Remember, the net asset value is over 7.00p, but this is after the horrendous adjustments made last year. We could easily see a significant upward adjustment to the net assets once some of the assets are sold and the outstanding loans and interest from Argentina start coming through in greater quantities.

Another top-up for me, which I see has pushed up the bid price.....currently up 4.65% I seem to recall someone in the past mentioning that PE was hoping to make a low ball offer for Sterling Trust's shares at 2.00p, which may be part of the reason for issuing the 'Statutory Notice', as it certainly suppressed the share price. EdS is a profitable, cash generative business, and the value of the company can only have increased with the changes taking place in the Argentinian energy sector. I fully expect to at least double my current investment from this very low base, but I am sure the administrators for Sterling Trust will be looking for an offer in the 4.00p to 5.00p range. Another top up for me at 1.14p...once they had lowered the ask. I just keep looking at the interim report, EdS owe Rurelec £37.5m in outstanding borrowings and interest and that excludes the value of our 50% ownership of the business. A solid buy in my book at this price.

I see the MM's have opened up the spread again, 1.19 to buy v 0.93 to sell. They certainly are not encouraging people to buy.

Well, they didn't fill my order, so I closed it earlier as i had bought them in 100k lots. Don't know what to make of the MM's antics, but I do know the share price is way out of kilter to the value of the company.

Hi jeddicat - not as yet, but the order is still in. It does seem strange that they will not fill an order at the current ask for a relatively small amount.

Not sure what the MM's are up to with this stock at the moment, but it appears to me that they either do not have stock or want to keep the price within the current range. I have just placed a buy order for 300k shares at the current offer price of 1.12p and it will be interesting to see if it is filled.
