I was wondering what Kiln meant thinking short for kilo newtons or some such ,then realized it is a word as in a Kiln for firing pots . PLEASE do not use words like that or TCC for Thermal COMBUSTION chamber. There is NO combustion in spite of the high temperature. The word if you want to use it is GASIFICATION or GASIFIER . The process takes place in the chamber with no (or very little) oxygen present which IS present in incinerators. Well OK you could argue that in a kiln the heat is produced externally to the inside of the kiln as in the DMG (Distributed Modular Generator, It used to be Gasifier but even that word was considered too close to combustion to be used) Anything that gives the impression of combustion is anathema to environmentalists due to the climate change gases given off.
That seems like a very thorough presentation of PHE & Protos No 1 plan of action and what I would hope to see done to minimise risks. Did you get all this from PHE presentations and RNS?
The appointment of Ian ****ford as Project Executive seems like a good deal according to his own CV but as he seems to have so many other commitments See below) can he really give much priority to Protos?

Led Zep Re your Fri. 20. 55 post.I am glad someone else has finally said what seemed obvious to me even as I am a relative new comer to AIM. I have never understood why W2T have the hold over PHE they obviously do (or did0. I cannot help feeling this was a rather insestuous relationship with David Ryan being an ex W2T board member. I think DR is obviously a good engineer and has worked hard to get some progress for PHE but too much under Howard White's thumb who makes himself out to be a white knight and rescued PHE from obscurity. I don't buy any of that. I don't think PHE owe them anything and cannot understand why PHE did not just terminate the contract after two totally unproductive years from 2017 to 2019 as they were entitled to. Instead HW is now well in charge as a self styled "Technical advisor" and a wizard entrepreneur. As for all the furour over Tim Yeo. What did you all expect from a politician with his record. his presence on the BOD was incidental and he was always the front man for PHE and just read from the script, which be fare to him ,he did quite well and smoothly with not too many ums and ahs and not my particular hated word "like" used as a thinking space rather than meaning a liking for or similarity for anything. I cannot help wondering if the straw that broke the proverbial camels back was that he went off script and actually gave a firm date for financial close . This did seem rather too bold to me in view of all the other missed predictions. Time will tell!

Interesting article Jmhy. It would be better if they gave more info about the type of engin. I am assuming it is some form of compression ignition Ic engin but I hope much more efficient than diesel. what is it's advantage over fuel cell/ electric motors?
Re your 20.20 post Nutsolve . Although the appointment earlier of Paul Emmitt as Chief Technical Officer to replace DR is a step in the right direction. I note he is only working two days a week for PHE and carrying on as CEO of Engsolve for the time being. I think from memory, he is the guy with the large beard which gives me great confidence! I hope he is now up to speed and ready to take over from DR full time if not already happened. It certainly explains PHE's purchase of a share in Engsolve. It might be even better if they could buy them out and have all their expertize in house.
Could not agree with you more Sensetalker re your 13.53 post. At a time when our national security never mind our economical survival is in mortal danger , the whimpish behavior of successive British governments in allowing British technology and innovation to be snapped up by rapacious (usually American) asset stripping finance companies is a scandal. See Arm as a prime example but many others. Certainly this seems to be due to successive Conservative governments slavish adherence to the doctrine of the "Free Market" which only ever seems to serve the interests of foreign companies. I presume this is due to our total reliance on the "Money markets" and our one remaining asset in the London Stock exchange which our governments are paranoid not to upset by "protectionism". This in spite of the fact that every other foreign government has no hesitation in doing so to protect their interests. The other side of the coin is the lamentable performance of so many company managements that squander the potential of good innovations like DMG. I am sorry to say this seems to be more and more the case with PHE. Like some others, I do not agree with the Licensing business model they have adopted as being too timerous. It has been presented as a good way of avoiding risk. On paper that may be so ,but it seems more like a straight jacket at the moment. The appointment of W2T as finance procurement and then project developer was a complete waste of time. They should have been given the boot at the end of the two year provisional contract when PHE could have legitimately sacked them and got their money back I think, although I stand to be corrected. When Peel insisted on them being wound up I thought we had seen the last of them and Peel as the new project developer would forge full steam ahead to make up for lost time. Instead we have seen the old W2T guard of Tim Yeo and Howard White given plumb jobs, TY on the BOD and Howard White has been (self?) styled as "technical advisor" The only "milestones" that have been passed are the (provisional?) planning permissions for the Protos site and the independent accreditation of the design. This second mainly due to David Ryan's tireless efforts, the only one of the company seeming to do any real work. Actually I have remembered W2T DID secure contracts for unrecycled waste (and gate fees?) and electricity purchase from an adjacent company. This was the original plan before Peel became involved to take the development stage by stage ,i.e. the FOAK would be electricity production only. I am actually pleased that Peel have taken the bold visionary step to make the FOAK full hydrogen in the light of recent Climate change developments and the rise of hydrogen on the consciousness of the politicians as a show case. The only two good things so far to come out of the Peel liason are the afore mentioned full hydrogen FOAK and the provision of a home for it. I don't discount the Provisional second site in Scotland.
Hi Valuation
Can you tell me what you think the final bill for the FOAK DMG now is? Back in 2017-18 I think I saw £15M for a 25tonne /day electric only and £20M for Electric+H2. With the fund raises of £15M and this latest loan of £3.8M that would have been almost enough! I have not heard the magic words "Financial Close" for a while but at least the SPV has been stated which IS Peel.
Hi Valuation
Can you tell me what you think the final price for the FOAK DMG is? Back when I first invested in 2017 -2018 I saw prices of £15M for Electric only and £20M for Electric+H2.(25 Tonne) If that was the case now, they would have all the cash needed! The two fundraises of £15M plus this latest loan of £3.8M bring it near. Why is PHE raising the loan if Peel are the developer??. Well that applies to the fund raises as well I suppose. As you say , why haven't any of those long lead items been purchased ?( or maybe they have but it's not been announced) I have not seen the magic words "Financial Close" for a while.
Too early yet unfortunately as Trig only seems to be interested in "mature" technology but hopefully in 1-2 years . after (hopeful) cfd's . I really need that for Simec Atlantis! It's going down the pan at the moment.
