Nagging at me for a while24 May 2018 11:09
I read a couple of posts here recently on Block Energy and it triggered some research I had done in the distant past. I didnt think much of it then but maybe it is a piece in a jigsaw that becomes relevant later on or triggers thoughts from someone else.
Block Energy is a Georgian focused E&P company focussed on the exploitation of previously discovered fields which are prime for western technology and enhanced production techniques. It is focussed on becoming the largest independent oil and gas company in Georgia and the wider region . There are therefore massive similarities with FRR. In 2017, Block Energy in line with its strategy to become an operator of low cost/high impact oil and gas development assets, agreed to acquire the outstanding 31% working interest in, and to become operator of, the producing Norio Onshore Oil Field Production Sharing Contract via a cash payment of US$310,000 to Georgia Oil and Gas (see below). Block Energys stage 3 plan (2020) is to expand its asset portfolio in Georgia and wider European region.
One of Georgia Oil and Gass (GOG) objectives in 2018 is to to farm-in/acquire (albeit it needs the funds to do this) neighboring blocks (http://georgiaoilandgas.ge/block-viii/) GOG are in and around Block 12. The interesting part for me is that GOG has a Mr Artem Sanishvili listed as its Chief Geophysicist. He has 46 years of experience in oil and gas around the globe, working with companies such as BHP, Schlumberger and China National Petroleum Corporation. Held a position for over 20 years at the Georgian Oil Department rising to head of 4 geological department. Worked in JKX, CanArgo, Frontera, Ramco and GOG as a database manager.
When I searched him, his linked in profile shows him as still working at Frontera. It may be as simple as that he hasnt updated his status as he cant possibly be working at both companies. Whatever the real position is, he was a database manager at FRR and is Chief Geophysicist at GOG so he has direct knowledge of what we have.
This only adds to the conspiracy theories about interest in what we have, by who and whether this impacts at all on the current shenanigans with the SP. Who knows I certainly dont.
