TF we're back in the nervous nineties. It is a great little company. Founded I the eighties I think. Its progress has been a bit tortoise like, but it has been steady. They are in a pretty safe niche sector. Very much respected. Bit a lot of changes this yer sine one of the founders passed a way a couple of years back. New CEO, new CFO and I think a couple of other new board members. Profits can be a bit lumpy which lends the market trying to pre-empt that and it often gets it completely wrong. The share are a little illiquid, but the divi is decent and looks pretty safe. There is always the possibility that this could suddenly jump on launch of new ground breaking product, as is possibly the case for this rebound. If your not trying to become an overnight millionaire I think this is agree investment. I first invested here in about 2010, might have been earlier. The share price was 19p. Its certainly kept pace with house price inflation!

Strange coincidence that on the morning that dark trace announce a massive exchange of shares at 6.20, both IGP and SWG bounce back. Anyone here lucky enough to get in on Dark IPO@2.50? I might be tempted if they actually fall back sub 6.20. Still a crazy valuation by comparison to SWG, but I really must not buy any more. Gl

It doesnt take many trades to move this stock a lot! 75% held by intstitutions, directors and partners. When the market flounders and Pi's get nervous this is the kind of stock that gets hit, but when the bulls return this will no doubt take off again. Absolutely no reason for the fall, but induces the most extraordinary accusations on ADVFN board

They say the market is never wrong. In the sense that it is what it is. That applies with any market. Assets are only worth what people are prepared to pay. However the game with investing is to spot stock that are underpriced or over priced. These situations can drag on for a long time. I hold both CNIC and SWG. Both appear to be unloved and possibly unjustifiably so but they have had issues that displeased the market. I try and compare them to other stocks in their sector to see if their value looks too low or too high. CNIC looks to gaining ground rapidly in its sector. It does have a lot of debt but they seem to have reached a tipping point in that all the investment they have made are reeling in the profit they were bought for. and I imagine the debt pile could rapidly reduce in the coming months. Or they could be seen as a threat to their peers in the sector.
Swg looks ridiculously undervalued having wiped out its loans and gone cash positiv. Compared to others in its sectors its value looks at least half where it should be. Arden is another broker that have companies on their books like DKL and ETQ, both currently trading at least half fair value. Unfortunately however much they shout about it its ultimately down to the market to make the price. This is why we are seeing so many acquisitions now. It tends to be companies with mcaps well over 150 million that appeal more to buyouts though.

IGP I also hold has 60 million market cap and revenue of 11 million,a third of SWG. no debt. Darktrace, not sure about debt, not many figures out as IPO'd recently: market cap I kid you not, 5.5 billion, revenue 160 million, . That's barely 5 times the size of revenue at SWG, I can't even work out how many times more expensive that is than SWG, but something astronomical. Swg is now on a pe of less than 10. Something is wildly over priced and its definitely not SWG

Wow, great opportunity to top up again thanks. Some people really don't seem to read RNS very well. Back in December we had a great RNS saying that after a dire start to the year that made up a lot of the deficit with a 39% increase in the months of October and November compared to the previous year, and that there would very likely end the year in profit. This was confirmed in the closing statement in April. Guess what? It actually happened and the 4 million loan note was paid off and they have 6 million cash in the bank.

Hi Aim. They have half their market cap in £24 million cash . They actually have total assets of £34.8 million. That vapes the business at under £14 million. I have just looked them up on Facebook to see some great testimonials from solicitors using digital move and as of yesterday in the last week it looks like number of transactions has gone from over 50,000 to over 53,000. Had a little top up myself!

I don't think you can take a handful of reviews by inadequate serial moaners on trust pilot as having much significance. 'Richard' has written 7 reviews on various companies all scoring 1 star in his opinion. I used to supply a restaurant which got a review about how bad their toilets were. They were brand new and only open a couple of days. Never thought to bring a complaint or draw attention of a problem to the proprietor which most normal people would do. The food there was fantastic, no mention of that. Sadly closed now, although obviously not because of one stupid review.

Don't get me started on the appalling service and outrageous charges of solicitors. Then they have the Law society to cover their useless arsees too. What I don't understand here is how come Kestrel keep buying multiple thousand of shares , while retail investors sell a few thousand and the sp has tanked 25%.

Good. I like the matter of factness about some of these presenters. Straight answers to straight questions.They don't need to sell the company. very complimentary about Namibia, the government and the people that work there. Stable geopolitical environment. Unlike Sa. I actually sold up JLP for a small profit and put it in here, because the uncertainty an unrest keep impacting. Rio shut down operations temporarily, not clear if that is for cyber attack or civil unrest, but a nice long way on the other side from Namibia!
If you have patience clearly there is massive upside in production potential. Its not gold, silver or copper, but something that will be in huge demand for the upscaling in electrical transportation, planes, trains. automobiles, etc. Should keep prices heading up. Obviously there will be costs in scaling up production. Shipping route fine, payment 95% on leaving the docks. Talking myself into a top up!

The figures are actually a confirmation of the April update. The market seems to think that somehow companies can magic up new set of numbers in the intervening couple of months.
Underlying pretax profits up 9%. Revenue flat due to COVID recovery year with bulk of business in second half. "well positioned for continued growth." Seen far worse.

With a market cap of 16 million. 17 %notifiable holdings mostly Nigel and individuals, I doubt there would be any resistance to honest Dan. Nobody has a big enough holding to defend. Although with a relatively low 180 million shares it could drive the sp quite a bit higher if there were more than 1 determined party, which seems to be Nigel's aim. Could get quite heated

Well said Rox. Must be difficult for new investors looking at this stock now without all the previous history of DeHaan family founders, subsequent float and total destruction nearly by greedy consortiums.
Its more than trebled since its all time low in October, but now around DeHaans generous average buy in price when he was invited back by current CEO fending off an opportunist challenge from ex Aviva boss at a buyout price of around the equivalent of around £4.50/£5.00. On the face of it this still looks stupidly cheap. However its been anything but plain sailing since DeHaan took back control entirely due to unforeseen variants of COVID delaying the restart of cruises by almost a year.
However with the finances well and truly shored up, the insurance arm more than adequately carrying the suspended business, this looks to be a very comfortable position for the time being and after much alarm about the new spike with Delta now seeing a five day fall in new cases its all looking very encouraging. With so many twists and turns in this wretched epidemic its very hard for any business to be certain of when if ever it will be full steam ahead, but with SAGA I think we can be assured we are in Pole position thanks to DeHaan. In other words if you are prepared to take the risk of buying shares, why not Saga? I'm glad to be here in preference to many other opportunities. For some strange reason Setanta have been winding down their position ever since the placing maybe they were hoping to be in on the takeover, pure speculation. Every time the price drops we usually see they have been selling but are now down to less than 3% and could even be out after the recent drop as they don't have a notifiable interest any more.

I think the market does get a bit impatient with acquisitions , especially when earrings take a bit of time to come through. Good to see the intention is there to slice off a bit of debt when they can. Wouldn't say this is the total end to acquisition but they look like they are well past tipping point with profits likely to up a pace from now on.Lot more than meets the eye to this company I think. A bit lazy doing research after the event, but very pleased with what I see compared to competitors.
