RE: Upside Foods Announcement15 Sep 2023 08:50
Listened to a podcast with Jimbo and Graham Rowan on Master Investor earlier in the spring. Amongst many topics covered, commodities, bonds and property they briefly discuss Agronomics. The Sp was 13p then. He mentions Precision Fermentation who are selling every thing they can make in the USA. Vitro lab are selling small quantities of their lab leather to fashion houses and lab chicken is selling well in Israel. The big point he makes is the distinction between lab meat and plant substitute meat. He claims plant meat substitutes are inferior in many ways, being heavily processed, inferior health wise and not so good for the health of the planet. He assures that all the companies within the Anic portfolio are doing very well, maintaining or increasing value and ever closer to production. The sting in the tali was expects markets to fall back 30 percent by year end. Looks like Anic has already achieved that goal, but I’m seriously looking to top up . There do seem to be a fair few professional investors getting interested now, especially at this price, as I think they can see that all those that think this food revolution will never happen appear not to have noticed it already is happening. I spoke to an animal feeds director earlier in the year and asked him if he had heard of Agronomics. He was aware of it and had been to a seminar on it , but basically thought it was a load of baloney. The share price of his company has dropped over 60% since then. To me it shows clearly the complete lack or denial and understanding of the old guard and a stubborn refusal to accept change. That conversation did me a huge favour as I dumped his stock before the big drop. It was a great company but refuses to see or adapt even slightly to the coming sea change in food production. Its not that it will happen, it is happening right now.
