Must admit I find it a bit odd that we're getting all these RNS's about this fairly irrelevent issue (with another one to come 'in due course'), and none at all about trading/operations. If it's to drop hints about a rosy future with dividends surely there are much better and more effective ways of doing that?

They have consistently said this as well, it's nothing new.

Think they are intending to drill another 2-3 wells first and install all the necessary facilities before commencing commercial production.

Much lower and falling volume on the retrace as well - no real selling pressure, just buyers temporarily having a rest.

My theory is these are from "fee-free trading" brokers - they are always at full offer or bid which presumably is how those brokers make their money. You often see them when the price changes which makes me think the trades are programmed in advance e.g. 'buy if the bid price increases'.

Depends on what you've set the period to as well i.e. is it the default 14 periods or shorter/longer?

Pretty sure last time I readup on it an RSI above 70 means the SP has a higher probability of a pullback, not that it definitely will. Rising stocks can stay in the 'overbought' zone for a long time.

Not sure it really is 'derisking' at this stage - is there really much of a risk between now and the day before the well results? Suspect it's just plain old profit taking / rebalancing.
