Rich62 I'm not sure you fully understand short positions.

Yes some sell shares and buy back cheaper and then repaying the loaned shares for profit. Others though use a short position to actually buy far more than they sell and you never get to hear. So at 0.1% they have to notify the FCA and at 0.5% they get publicly published on the FCA website. But they can buy as many as they want and hold right up to the 3% holdings notification threshold before ever having to notify the market. Some will also do both and others use it as a form of hedging in matched pairs of holdings.

You're free to jpin them but probably best just to be aware of them and the opportunity that they can give you. Its your choice if you wish to hand your shares over to them or use the opportunity they create.

OhhAhh, having just fired a Legal salvo Fiduciary duty missive on the Non Executive Directors over @ Boohoo the chances of MA teaming up with Kelso are NIL.

Both Iain Mac and John Goold - two primary figures in Selkirk listing are Independent Directors at Boohoo.

I think imvho Selkirk are coming to town imminently and most probably @THG. Just far too many contiguous coincidences.

That sort of money though in Mike Ashley's hands might be to countenance and bid for BOOHOO fire sale of assets but with that sort of money Mike Ashley could easily outbid Matt Mouldings THG Ingenuity plan, and buy Ingenuity and funding it to FCF, so on better terms. It also in flash lets him future proof his expanding empire with state of the art warehousing and not have to wait for Ansty planning permission for his Campus near Rugby which would be years off.

Revenue guidance for this year in August was only £10m to £18m guidance

So who will be picking up the tab on this come the demerger - Remainco or Newco?

I sat pondering this last night and I really don't get this as it struck me as odd and I do know that he has had private security in the past when he got his massive share awards.

Perhaps I might not know the real reason behind him having security on this occasion and can only assume that this time around it must be related to the cataclysmic fall in the THG share price under his watch.

Forgive me for saying it but in any other company in the world anybody presiding over such massive falls in a companies share price would have either fallen on their own sword or been replaced. Instead it looks like @THG in all probability are footing the bill again.

You don't need to be in discussions to launch a bid and similarly that's exactly what you would say if you didn't wish the price to rise in advance. Just also be aware that Kelso are down on their THG holding and placing top up.

And it's an endorsement of the ITM tech with a 100 year established Engineering company.

And it's for a refuelling station. How many of those will we see emerge in Germany and Holland.

Buying Westquay back at half the price

Kyk, that rise back up in Kelso to where it is now had Matt Moulding buying 12% and Angus Monro buying 3% in what many saw back then as a Pacman defence.

Selkirk though by comparison have the same but have added bigger hitters (most ex-THG associated) and proper financial clout that Kelso didn't have.

Hopefully they do bid and give us all a decent return.

Kyk - Kelso though is now mid-priced at 4p so would have doubled in the time THG has more than halved.

Just banked circa £2.4 Million off Selkirk's IPO and a free carry of 18% - plus whatever they make from any Selkirk reverse takeover.

Oliver Hemsley the Numis Founder now onto the Board of Kelso where Moulding holds his Pacman defence shares. Moulding really not a fan of Numis with good reason. Hemsley is also a shareholder in Selkirk Group.

Either that or it has to be Kelso's response to "My dogs got more than them" comment.

Do they go next level though and Bid for some of THG?

Just checked on Selkirk Group's plc's (SELK) 1rst day of dealings as a listed company and blow me down. Gains that would be more than welcome here @THG.

+25% to +33% through the day and looks like it was the latter for most of the day but the UT closed it at +25%.

Looks like the City of London is backing the big hitters onboard there to bag themselves a bargain and nail themselves a big deal. There's a lot to be said for many of the Kelso and Selkirk BoD being extremely well connected in the Square Mile, with Private Equity and also being London based. (Our CEO barely leaving HQ - Home and back!!).

Given those onboard and the fact it is now listed - this has to be Mouldings and THG's biggest threat. Moreso than Kelso. So will he Pacman defence as he did @Kelso.

All those staff who were also working from home and all got the diktat that they were all having to work in office from the start of the year will also be fizzing at some of those comments imvho.

I honestly just wish now that he would remain quiet.

I just listened to that Yorek and from a shareholder perspective it wan't endearing at all.

Talking about £500K cars on the one hand and philanthropically giving away money to charity and seemingly oblivious to the car crash he has caused on this share price. It also did not sit well with me that he lamented his not going away for business and stay at home approach (the interviewer travelling to him) and effectively his go into work or stay at home mentality as he see fit as he "doesn't get paid" and "whose going to sack him"

He forgets though he may have security those investing in the company are being stripped of their wealth and not only that but many of them are, or probably were customers.

He also fails to grasp that in a listed plc company it is the Chairman and the Board that is in overall charge.

I'll bet it is THG that will be paying for his security. Will that be spilt with Newco or sit solely with Remainco, post demerger.
