Thank you Naewise. I think many of us are trying to think more carefully about what companies we invest in & the consequences for the world of the products or services they provide.
My SIPP was well on its way when I found Synairgen; such a compelling investment it has made me break my own rules
on portfolio weighting by some margin! :)

Naewise, as a 59 year old suffering chronic asthma & now aspergillosis & adrenal insufficiency I see my finding of Synairgen's work on SNG001 in 2019 and subsequent investment as securing a decent pension & having a chance of living long enough to enjoy it :)
Once it has approval & goes on to stop the majority of people dying from or getting long covid it will as an agnostic antiviral be used as they originally intended to treat people with asthma, COPD etc and stop them getting severe illness, hospitalisation & death from various respiratory virus.
Sir SH is a world leading expert in Respiratory medicine & research & therefore well known to the asthma community.
Have a look on the Synairgen website for the history of the development of SNG001 as well as the all of the teams CVs which
are very impressive.

Yes and if S.4231 goes through on a lame duck session could be $10 billion floating around along with the new President
pushing to increase stockpiling for each state as well as the S.N.S. I suspect SNG001 is a strong candidate already.
The FDA can give EUA to anything in the S.N.S if they think they there is urgent need. So using SNG001 to deal with a future virus would probably be an easy decision & even more so as additional positive data becomes available.

with some obvious issues & limitations.

I feel we are lucky compared to many we have a 2nd bathroom downstairs so helps as my daughter can stay upstairs.
In spite of financial challenges I think we will be ok long term but many will not! if you want to feel happy with your lot
go to the Excluded website read what some are dealing with I had a lump in my throat Xmas Eve catching up there!
The other 3 of us in my house hold are symptom free at the moment but I feel like I'm playing Viral Russian Roulette.
Because of my health history Chronic Asthma & SAFS amongst other things I'm very attuned to impending illness.
First sign of trouble I will get tested & try & get on the home trail ASAP.
SNG001 can't clear Phase 3 soon enough for my liking!

Well people I dipped in to the board today as I had to check my emails for a serious & specific reason.
Just thought I would see if there were some reasoned points about the Guardian mention of AZs latest
& perhaps a bit of Boxing Day banta of which I could do with.
Well there was some reason PMJH as usual, some cautioned opposite view thats fine but also a bit of a negative
vibe as well.
It made me a bit reflective about this year from a personal point of view & that we could all raise our game to move forward
& out of this pandemic to just learn to live with an endemic SARs 2Covid 19 & its ugly cousins on the horizon.
For me 2020 started with so much promise, many work bookings good family health kids doing well as I'm sure it was for many.
2020 comes to an end with, no business, me as one of the 3 million excluded, my 15 yr old daughter isolating in her (small) bedroom after a positive covid test arrived as I was finishing cooking our Xmas lunch at 13.00 yesterday. Boxing day has been all about speaking to track & trace (1hr+) & other arrangements to get through until 02/01/2021. I my wife & other daughter trying to avoid infection which for me particularly could be lethal (check some of my posts if you wonder why).
Since this started we have done everything we can to avoid catching or transmitting this virus & frankly many others have not!
My Daughter was infected at her school as we have been isolating all year & she is the only one at risk on a daily basis.
I am sure SNG 001 will soon receive EUA in the USA, why? Pure and simply need! If safety data is continued & even a modest efficacy delivered early in phase 3 then anytime from 21/01/2021 onwards.
Please just remember real people are effected by this virus in so many ways & some are reading what is posted on here.
Please realise that we will need everything we can come up with, treatments, vaccines , track & trace to move forward to a controlled endemic lifestyle.
PLEASE think about what you are doing, Hands, Face, Space does help & please encourage others in good practice.
Finally please be patient with this investment & keep your posts considered & balanced on this mostly excellent board.

Good afternoon Tiptop. As a lifelong chronic asthmatic I thought I would reply to your post.
Asthma UK/BLF will be well aware of Synairgen & SNG001.
Synairgen's earlier work on Asthma in conjunction with AstraZeneca is covered on the Synairgen website.
They moved on to COPD but events have over taken us all so the focus is now on Covid19.
The 12 million plus people in this country with lung disease need a true, safe, easily administered broad spectrum antiviral.
I have been watching Synairgen with hope for a while & invested earlier this year for the above reason.
My personal opinion for sometime has been that SNG001 will get EUA in the USA, I now think even earlier than I originally thought.
If SNG001 is as successful as most of us think a large US pharma will partner or more like buy Synairgen & quickly move to unlock the full potential of SNG001 as a broad spectrum antiviral for millions of people with lung disease.

Joey, There is a certain big pharma Budesonide/Formoterol branded product that has been a very effective for firstly (2006 I think) COPD & quickly followed as treatment for Asthma then other respiratory illness. I think the idea will be to open peoples
airways so that they are better able to breath or take on the positive flow oxygen.
