Ah, my error. Too used to AIM!
saying 'We see no reason for the rise....@ bodes well
Inserting full stops between statements doesn't alter the fact that they are contradictory. Deflecting by pretending it is an issue of grammar, rather than logic, is pretty feeble.
No idea why your comment is on a bulletin board for HUR. Also no idea why it has received 4 recommends despite contradicting itself. So doctors and nurses leave the NHS because they can, despite the pension being better and (like your family members) knowing how well off they are.
My understanding is that many brokers 'lend' shares to shorters (who 'borrow' the shares in order to sell them). When the price drops the shorters then buy the shares in order to return those loaned. I have no idea what part the market makers are supposed to play in this. You would think from reading BBs that there must be thousands of MMs closely watching every share in order to manipulate them.
Maybe it's different with VAL this time, but we have seen it many times before. A bit of hype, followed by a massive spike, slow drift down as no serious deals result, dilution, consolidation, rinse and repeat. A £9k investment reduced to a few hundred pounds AFTER the recent rise.
Under new management I know, but it pays to tread very carefully with VAL.
For someone who says he is not a shareholder, you spend an amazing amount of time and energy posting on this board. Is it because of your concern about the investments of people you don't know? A remarkable degree of altruism.
Surprised someone who baled out months ago thinks his opinion is of any interest to anyone.
Normally they send out a ramping RNS then announce a placing shortly afterwards. This time they have announced there will be a placing, at a significant discount to the current SP, in advance. The exact opposite of a P&D. I say this as someone with a holding that is virtually worthless and with nothing to gain.
9p is my breakeven. At least it was before consolidation. Only a 1500% rise needed now.
Definitely ignorance on your part. From the Daily Mail, not known for it's opposition to Tory Governments:
'Airport bosses have complained that the failure to limit arrivals and check passengers has made a mockery of the lockdown.
More than 15,000 people arrive in the UK each day, with hundreds of thousands of UK nationals being repatriated since the outbreak began, including 200,000 from Spain, one of the worst-hit countries.
More than 130 countries have introduced some form of travel restriction, quarantine and bans on travel from high-risk areas.
At least 90 per cent of the world's population lives in countries with restrictions on non-citizens and non-residents arriving from abroad, with Britain criticised for allowing anyone to arrive free of checks.
The government have only just decided to take action on thousands of people daily flying into the UK without testing or quarantine. Gross incompetence and negligence.
Been invested in this for years, having invested a significant sum. Tired of the consolidations, which just give them more downside for cash calls. It's always jam for us tomorrow but jam (and cream) for them today.
Can one of you experts please explain the royalty payments?
Isn't the PME because they are having trouble matching buyers with sellers? If it's because they can't get sellers at a given price, that is positive and if they can't get buyers that is a negative.
Or have I got it wrong?
Is it because there is a shortage of buyers, or a shortage of sellers?
Potential buyers will not only look at the sp, but also how many can be purchased at that level. If 50%+ can be bought then a low offer may be possible. But if only 5 or 10% are then the current sp is irrelevent.
TBH it doesn't look good. First suspended, then delisted, now deregistered from CREST. The delisting was mandatory following the suspension, is that the same for the deregistering? No announcement or any communication (I am aware of) from the company. If it was anything other than bad news why not an explanation?
I take from this is that even a whiff of a possible sale results in a boost. For those saying SOU is only worth 8p (or the sp on any given day), think about what could happen if/when there is serious interest.
Seaton, tried recommending but LSE won't let me. Interesting, as 'reply' worked straight away.
