What is the latest short position? as i would be very surprised if they took this sort of news into account.
Great new on a normal day but with the SP being so low it could motor from here !
It feels like a team who have just scored 2 goals in the 39th and 41st minute and didn't want the half time whistle to blow.
We had real momentum on Friday and hopefully the extra day hasn't changed people's views.
Some of the selling are buys. The spread is very very tight.
Quiet on here this morning is everybody trying to buy shares under 17p before the breakout?
Part 1: Harland & Wolff (LON:HARL)sports a relatively depressed share price that could offer decent entry points to would-be investors.
As we dive into Q2 2023, some of the most promising FTSE AIM shares remain seriously undervalued from a risk-reward perspective.
Of course, this is only a personal view, and not investing advice. These companies are AIM shares for a reason. They’re speculative and volatile, but come with the chance of exceptional returns for those prepared to buy, hold, and wait.
5 high-risk FTSE AIM shares to buy
1. Harland & Wolff (LON: HARL)
With an investor event coming on 17 April, HARL has plenty of developments to highlight to its shareholders. The meat is of course the £900 million backlog of already confirmed contracted revenues — £750 million of which is represented by the gigantic FSS contract.
HARL also has a £3.6 billion pipeline of new business over the next five years — representing a projected backlog of £1.24 billion at the current win rate. And it’s usually the case that contract wins beget contract wins.
The FTSE company is targeting revenues of between £100 million and £115 million in FY23, and this is expected to double to between £200 million to £230 million in FY24 — with a blended gross margin of 24-27% ‘over the medium term.’
While HARL only expected to start breaking even in FY24, it has upsized a debt facility with Riverstone to $100 million and is refinancing a further £200 million this quarter.
It also helps that President Joe Biden is visiting the country today.
Further, the company is awaiting formal hearings between 2-5 May concerning the Islandmagee Gas Storage Project, with the company ‘optimistic of a positive outcome’ for the full judicial review. It’s worth noting that while concerns over gas prices have subsided for now, the UK’s record low storage and concerns over next winter mean there is political pressure to get the project approved.
Of course, there are risks — HARL released a bombshell RNS late last year which tanked the share price, but the disconnect between the fundamentals and its £26 million market cap is vast.
Same here picked up another 6.5k. I probably paid the highest of the day followed by 4 days of falls because that's how i roll !! :-) lol
ITN NEWS LAST NIGHT.....
When the roll-on roll-off ferry the Anvil Point left Harland and Wolff 20 years ago, many thought it would be the last ship built there to do so.
But today there is a brighter future for the iconic Belfast shipyard with the prospect of a multi-million pound Ministry of Defence order on the books.
Original signed Good Friday Agreement at Belfast exhibition
During the last century, Harland and Wolff forged its reputation as one of the world's leading shipbuilders, employing more than 30000 people in its heyday.
However, four years ago the famous shipyard that built the Titanic went into administration and the future looked bleak.
But a determined workforce refused to let the yard die and a new owner stepped in.
Then late last year Harland & Wolff won a multi-million-pound government contract - meaning the finishing touches for three naval support ships will be completed here in Belfast.
The new contract will see roughly 900 jobs created, leading to more people having to be trained up.
One of those learning their trade is Emma-Louise Gourley who is the yard's first female welder.
Emma says she is looking forward to seeing Harland and Wolff build ships again.
She added: "It will be nice to be a part of something so big".
Scott Patterson works in the drawing office, his job is computer-based but he is gaining new skills to understand shipbuilding from the ground up.
Scott said: "If you are in the drawing office and you are only working on a computer, it's only going to give you so much.
"There is only so much you can understand from it, but if you can get a wide array of options it would be much better", he added.
A shipyard with an iconic past now appears to have a bright future ahead.
I have been quiet over the past month while the SP has been falling but have been moving funds about to pick up 139000 shares at an average of 15.3p to help bring down my average from my initial purchase of 61000 at 21p.
Very confident that HARL will be one of the AIM successes of 2023.
At what price do you think the shorts will close? Always good to put a target to back up your comments.
And now 0.17
Doing exactly the same. Bought a load of RR at 77-85p now tucked away gaining every week and I have bought HARL at 21.1, 16, 15.9, 14.2, 14.6, and 15.5 now holding 39,600 shares. I retire in 4 years.
Having watched and done my homework I will be buying HARL for the first time this morning. This could be a real turnaround story and with the issues facing the whole world they are in the perfect sector. Price target in 24 months?
I would guess certainly up towards a pound.
An interesting company.
My broker reckons these shares will be difficult to trade today? Does that mean they will have to ramp up the price?
easyJet continues to have a strong investment grade balance sheet and has one of the lowest net debts in European aviation. As at 30 June 2022, easyJet's net debt was £0.2 billion (31 March 2022: £0.6 billion) including cash and cash equivalents and money market deposits of £3.9 billion.
Picked up another 30k this morning...…..
Martyn knows what he is doing and will make sure share holders are rewarded.
Having popped in and out of the CMRS thread on ADVFN thank God I have called in here and read some of the upbeat posts.
Having made significant profits over the past 5 years on GGP and MTR I bought £5k about 18 months ago after having met the CEO in a work capacity.
I have since paid as high as 25p over that time but have recently splashed out over £12k as the price has been suppressed and CMRS is now my biggest holding..
Early days but having bought GGP at 1.6p I have an idea as to just how well Caerus will do. Good luck all.
Still rumours from here in Ontario. Strange how last week I mentioned a takeover and the shares have risen 30%?
ADVFN. Did somebody on here say that CMRS likes issuing RNS's on a Thursday?
