Chinese steelmakers return after winter curbs end
Apr 04, 2019 08:30
Chinese steel producers in North China’s Hebei and Shanxi provinces are bringing back production at a fast pace, now that the production curbs in place for winter were lifted at the end of March, market sources said on Wednesday.
“Those steelmakers (in Shanxi) that acted fast have already fully resumed production, (and) some more are about to return from around mid-April,” a market correspondent based in Shanxi province said. Steel producers in environmentally-vulnerable areas such as Hebei were asked to restrain production during the winter months from last October
I'm sure alfa, bbb and loudspeaker have been keeping daily records of Vanadium pricing. I have also been recording the daily AsianMetal pricing for Vanadium for the past year as reported by vanadiumprice.com
Here are the averages for each quarter, and perhaps these numbers can be used for comparison. I hope the numbers format correctly.

hopefully not previously posted.
Here's a clip.
The rise of cheap renewable energy is starting to upend the bottom lines of fossil-fuel companies the world over. Initially, that was why so many of them instinctively fought the newfangled technologies. Increasingly, it’s why many of them are shifting strategy, hustling to try to profitably harness the wind and the sun.
Sorry, that link was posted last night by @sloppyguiseppe.
I'm trying to catch up with all the posts and missed that one.
I used to have a lot of spare time (78 and retired) but now you guys are keeping me really busy with all the great posts and links.
At least, all this thought-provoking information is giving my brain a good daily workout, which is far better than playing scrabble on my computer. The great thing about it is that I'm making money at it.
Totally win, win, but now, how am I going to find time to go fishing when Lake Simcoe thaws?
Thanks, alfa. I used the http://capita.moneyam.com report for the day's calculations which covered 2.5 pages.
I multiplied the price by the quantity for each trade, and when compared to the deal value the largest discrepancy was only 3 quid. which confirmed the correct buys and sells.
The total volume for to-days 106 trades came in at 2.255m, so I don't understand why the official volume is reported to be a bit higher. I will calculate to-morrows trading again at the end of the day and see if I can get the volumes to match.
I really appreciate the amount of time posters like yourself and others devote to this bb. I am retired and since I have the time, and I enjoy working on spreadsheets I was hoping I could contribute in a small way.

The best I could come up with.

Hi knutsfordnotary, thanks for your suggestion. Out of curiosity I went on line and found that there really is such a thing as a remote-controlled grass cutter.

I told my wife and we had a good laugh. She suggested I get one and maybe she could get something nice for herself. I'm up a few bucks on paper with Bushy so I may use my rainy day cash and buy one..........I'll get my wife a chain saw, I'm sure she will love it.
Sorry for the bad joke but it is the weekend.
I also told the joke wrong.
The 100ml should be added to the fertilizer and not the gas tank.
I guess if you put it in the gas tank the engine would be purring like a kitten.
RK. I totally agree with your philosophy of life.
"So everything in the garden is lovely" I remember the expression from my early years in England, and it is one of my favorites.
Speaking of the garden. Our Canadian winter is almost over and I am now looking forward to tending to the lawn and garden chores. I enjoy cutting the grass and I know it's a good workout. However, I'm not getting any younger and since I have to tend to 1/2 acre it's getting a bit too much. Anyway, I did a google search on time-saving and learned that if I add 100ml of whiskey per gal. to the gasoline tank, the grass comes up half cut. I'm gonna give it a try. lol.

Richken posted the following on Jan 19.
Risks - not many. We will have Vametco mine in operation, Brits expected to become an operational mine in 2019 and the largest potential high-grade vanadium mine in the world Mokopane awaiting its mining license, we have one existing processing plant at Vametco, minimum of two potential processing plants going forward, at least one electrolyte plant, a VRFB assembly plant (joint venture), an electrolyte leasing company (joint venture).
@sloppyGuiseppi Thanks for the link. Good find.
The first rent/lease I have seen, and the best news (in my opinion) in a long time.
Hopefully, rent/lease will prove to be the way to go when V prices take off.
Also great to see terrific sp upward movement today.
