That could really drive some volume/share increase pre ratification, and get the SP into a much more healthier position than if it's just ratified out of the blue.

I was surprised reading HotCopper to see a lot of negativity around the RNS.

I don't mean to be funny but I massively doubt Ghana is as strict as some countries on information, surely somebody has given them the nod. And not only that they've got the deal at low price compared to where it's been recently.

Maybe this was the plan all along but the SP went up so much they wanted it down a bit, and let's be honest if they thought ratification wasn't going to happen until the next sitting they wouldn't be paying the price they did today.

I suspect the 'nod' was that it's getting passed by the end of next week, you couldn't ask for a bigger or better buying signal

It actually says, whilst they farmouts are being discussed they won't drill wells. So they have enough cash.

It doesn't say no drilling this year, as any future drilling will likely be done by the farm in partner. Now the oil prices will be sky high for years, the big players and scrambling for assets.

Good shares on aim of this size with substantial non north sea producing assets, enquest is attractive from this point of view. If the oil price goes up which we all know it will despite trumps ramblings which will cause volatility. This could triple from here. I don't think 60p is out of the question. They may be resisting now but no way starmer and co can resist if the gas reserves run out and oil hits 150 bucks a barrell, it will be the end of them.

Being played with the SP, not sure how the spread can be so wide but very little stock available.

Many less experienced investors may look at a double in oil prices as a double in profits.

But when your profit margin is a fraction of the current oil price, a double in prices can mean increased profits of 4 - 600% even higher. Though of course additional taxes play a significant factor in reducing this in the North Sea.

Periods like this are transformational for small producers with good boepd output in areas not effected by the war.

The price movement last 2 days has been a bit unusual, I can only suspect there was a large trade being worked. Especially considering how the book turned today, I suspect it will appear after close or next week.

given the current situation with oil prices I struggle to see anybody selling a large position this week, it may be a large buy was being worked and they hadn't anticipated the Iran war driving the momentum so much quicker. My money's on a huge buy at 18p.

There's very little not to like here, pressure on the government to ease the taxes, better management, transformative releases, good cost management, improved and extended productsion, debt reduction, and massively increased profits on malasian oil (8000+ Boepd) not affected by the war.

This is almost a perfect storm, we just need those windfall taxes reduced for a Royal Flush. With or without that this is still heading to 30p short term.

I said 'strong buy' and I like the odds, so whilst I perhaps sdhouldn;t have used the title 'surely placing' I was being bullish.

what a dumb situation, how can two professional companies working together get into such a dumb situation. spodumene at a massive high, critical minerals in demand, the payment a drop of **** in the ocean over the life of the mine.

it's such a pathetic and self damaging situation to both parties, and will cost more money.

this will be resolved at arbitration and an agreement will be arrived on. an example of two pathetic boards, incapable of discussing and finding a resolution to a simple situation.

whats more worrying is what if a real problem arises, how will these 'partners' fare then? will they just blame and sue each other??
