Thanks. Olderand Wiser made a huge contribution I feel. I just emailed the company and asked the question. This is a lesson all investors should understand. You can email a company and ask questions. Most decent will reply. There may of course be restrictions on certain information and close periods. But a question , by a shareholder, asking a relevant general business question would normally be answered. Asking what was your profit last year would not be !!

I received a reply from ACHL In China, asian citrus psyllid is the common vector of the citrus greening disease. The orange trees that are grown in the plantations are carefully inspected twice a month to ensure that the trees are not infected by this disease or being attacked by the psyllid. Also, pesticide is regularly applied to control the psyllid population. No citrus greening disease infection in the plantations was noted so far.

You were an Fund Manager and I was an Broker sellin to institutions only-but in the 1980's, so doubt are path's crossed. What is your view on the disease risk-asian citrus psyllid disease. Have emailed the company, but waiting for a reply. It appears they have this well under control and the main problem now is in Florida?

I see that the price of Oranges has risen from $739.17 per tonne in Jan 2013 to $1148.46 in June. The OJ price has also risen. I assume this will be reflected in ACHL earnings, maybe offsetting any reduced production. Or am I missing some-thing?

The last published valuation for the Fund’s Zhuhai properties was US$33.4 million as at 31 December 2012. The total commitment for the Zhuhai properties was US$45 million.
