AA are currently spending money on the Woodsmith Polyhalite project with no return. When this mine starts producing, it will deliver a significant return and will be the jewel in the crown of Anglo American (IMHO).

I only have 31,824 + 6,694 bought at 3.2556 and 0.57 in my ISA and normal accounts respectively. I did buy 100,000 at 0.4p a couple of years ago but I’ve sold and traded on occasion. What I have now are effectively freebies.

Why are there so many very small trades? Is it a larger order being filled? Or a large sale being drip fed?

I take all news and views with a huge pinch of salt. For me, whilst I like the enthusiasm of some posters, I also respect the pessimism of others. It’s all about numbers.

I bought 10,000 shares at 14p (£1,400) in July and sold 7,500 in 3 tranches in October/November, taking out £3,000. The remaining 2,500 aren’t worth much so they can sit in my account foe 2021. Oh, and I have the special dividend to look forward to which will be invested somewhere as yet undecided.

There will be more electric cars by 2025 for sure. But I think the National Grid will be at full capacity by then. We’ll have to tow small trailers with diesel generators to get the electricity that our cars need :).

The future must be hydrogen or something else none-electrical - or nuclear power.

I’m still nursing losses from the SXX mess but I think I learnt a valuable lesson and I’m happy to be cautious even though more than half of my investment on the the stock market is Anglo American. I live local to Woodsmith Mine and it still hurts to think what could have been.

I’m confident that there’ll be a Brexit deal. I believe there was always going to be a deal but that the EU want to make it look difficult and try to scare us in to agreeing a poor deal, to discourage other nations from exiting the flawed experiment.

The EU will look petty if they don’t agree a deal with their closest or most loyal neighbours that is at least as fair as those agreed with other nations.
