Been keeping mostly quiet myself lately but have to say I'm surprised how sensitive some posters are to comments. My skin is rhino thick and it would take an awful lot to get me hackles up but the likes of Kaisar_B seem to feel every reply to his posts are a personal attack on him. Perhaps he needs to take up a different pastime if posting on a BB is so distressing. Doubtless I'll get some sort of rebuke in return, but do you know what, I just won't be bovvered!!

I used to work with a gal who we were sure had a mains powered adult oscillator. We sussed this when Southern Electricity built a sub station in her back garden to stop all the lights in the area dimming umpteen times a night!! What a woman ;-)))))

Not on bagel setting 2cv, although I recall there is a note in the instructions stating that one side might do better than t'other but not exactly why though.

I have to admit overspending on a Dualit toaster earlier this year...mistake, favourite bread only goes in if trimmed or cut in half, toast one slice only, only one side gets toasted. How hard can it be to make a toaster that works properly?
On that note, I'm still browned orf wiv things, brains a funny old game of two halves, doubtless more pills will be required to regain the status quo?

Quick story to pass the time. GIT mentioning paint drying reminded me of when in the 80's I worked selling vehicle refinish paint. My colleague and I were asked by a most rude, arrogant and obnoxious customer, to supply the paint for his truck. Not taking kindly to his approach, we decided to leave a small but essential ingredient out of his paint..... the dryers. Probably still waiting for it to go off now :-))
