Brilliant anecdote Bob. I used to hear all sorts of stories when I was working but my favourite came from my apprenticeship days. One of the college lecturers insisted that during WW2, a tank crew fighting in Africa were halted by a broken fan belt. Being resourceful, they hopped out of the tank to catch a snake and having done so, threaded the dead beast around the engines pulleys, stuffed the tail in its mouth, then tightened a jubilee clip round it's head therefore allowing them to rejoin the battle. Eggy, seeing as the SP finished up yesterday, whoever is orchestrating the suppression of Wres shares, have got their gang together to sell blocks of 1m + in concert to bring the price back down again. However, as the blocks of sells appear smaller in volume, perhaps they're running short and are having to keep their powder dry, as it were. All IMHO of course.

We survive that long ( me especially), we have a special Wres investors and Bentley owners Christmas knee(s) up at a venue suitable for such an auspicious occasion. Suggestions for such a venue would be greatly appreciated. I would offer The Fat Duck at Bray but I'm not sure I'd like tinsel and chocolate orange gravy on me turkey, Heston.

What the new website has shown is that Hansource are still holding the same amount of shares as it always has, therefore, that should now rule them out of the recent 3m seller conundrum .

I think there are enough intelligent and experienced people on this BB to create a new third party, the trouble would be finding a leader less devisive than Corbyn more decisive than May. Reading the papers, I'm wondering if Mr 3m is actually Mrs 3m? I think this Zamira bird from Azerbaijan who blew £1.6m a year on average at Harrods is behind it all. It seems her and hubby thought all the money in the International Bank of Azerbaijan was theirs to do with as you please and the constant 3m sells was her laundering a small part of their ill gotten gains, estimated at £100m in 2016. Got to admire them in some small way TBH.

However, we in the Shires measure in Kb's (abbr for Knobs) e.g. knob of butter etc. It comes from old Berkshire dialect , 'you'n bignob' meaning a tall man, essentially a person or object larger than was normal at that time. Now used as a term for people, usually gauky males well over 6ft (1.83m) i.e. 'what a knob'. Apparantly, the phrase has been known to have been used by some females in the district of Seaton Carew, but we're uncertain of the context in which it is used there. Perhaps one of our readers could write in if they know the answer?

Richard, to get it dead right, total all your purchases including dealing costs, subtract any sells also including costs, then divide the total by the amount of shares you actually hold and there's yer average.

Yep Ponf, just see it. So it looks like it's all over for Wlfe....for now anyway. Would be a tremendous loss to the economy down there and what do you do with it? Bloody great hole full of machinery, tears and broken dreams, not to mention the clay, tungsten and tin. Will someone brave with extraordinarily vast finances give it a go, no I don't think so? Perhaps HMG will bale them out with taxpayers funds, no I don't think that either. Can I see a new leisure facility on the horizon, yes I can, but not for many years yet I'm afraid.
On the bright side, we're still smiling cos we're Wreslers, gardeners and nun fanciers alike, just waiting for the cogs to turn in earnest and get the cash rolling in. Roll on 2019 😁

Just read some comments on the Wlfe BB that they're getting news that Wlfe has collapsed. How true this is I don't know but we'll hear something very soon if it is. Black day all round for those interested parties. 😭

for most of the UK over the next few days, even Bob might get a bit of currant bun before the rain hits Hartlepuddle but more importantly, the forecast for the Iberian peninsula looks to be promising the sort of climate ideal for digging up gert big chunks of tungsten without it sticking to ones proverbial shovel. So dig boys dig, crush that Scheelite, sift that tin, bag that concentrate and whack it on a lorry to whoever has first dibs, Europe or the USA. Oh, and don't forget the Glod and Copper?

Just seen that Woof are down 20% again today. It's a horrible thought, but I think their time may be coming to an end, who's going to bail them out with the amount of debt they have? All very sad for all involved. 😓

Tungsten miner Premier African Minerals slid after it announced the results of a consultation on how to bring one of its Zimbabwean mines back into production.

The study concluded it was viable, but would cost £818,000. After 15 months, it would only be making £474,000.

In a separate announcement, it said it may have to reconfigure the layout of the mine to take advantage of where minerals were detected. Shares fell 17.5 per cent, or 0.03p, to 0.13p.

I think Wres might just have the edge on PAM.
