Good morning all, whisper it very quietly but I've just sneaked into profit for the first time since February this year. I think this may be the third time overall as i recall a small profit when Wres dallied with 1.7p some years ago. Let's hope I can keep it this time although nothing is guaranteed in this life. Come on you Wreslers.
Not on this board Troa, but yes, it's been a hell of a wait to see things get this close to touching distance, and i feel I've aged considerably more in the process!!
Troa, have just pulled out my first contract note dated 25/05/2011 @best purchase 58,000 Caspian Holdings PLC @0.00469p cost £286.39 including fees. So 7.5 years later, I'm just over where I started, funny old game innit?
Although we're just over the .5, I'm sure it won't reach my break into profit mark (just) of .55 today. I think a few of us LTH's have an average around that mark, so I'm expecting to hear a huge cheer when that SP disappears into the distance...not Richard though...is he still at 0.98?
RichardK, did you say earlier this morning that you didn't think .50 would be broken today?? Whether it'll still be broken at the bell remains to be seen, but I do hope so. 🤞🤞
The big 1etc, my HSBC bed & ISA was traded manually by them to avoid a large spread but even then it was all done and dusted in a couple of hours. I think Troas Barclays deal was done in the days of steam power if it took that long!!
Ah, it was you Jaff who mentioned HSBC doing a good job a few days back on your bed & ISA. As i said, i did mine on Monday, spread at 7.34% but lost a few shares in lieu of trading fees, £23 worth in total, so no complaints really. Might be a different story in 2019 though.
Just noticed that CMB have risen over 123% on record unaudited results. It will be very interesting when Wres release the results which include their first income and profits. It would have to be a record as we've never made a profit yet. Could we see a similar rise or may it already have been priced in to the SP? Any thoughts?
Troa, LNG more likely to be fuel for the pie and pasty outlet. With all those labourers on site to feed, it was seen as a more cost effective way of keeping up with demand, it was the nuns that suggested it I believe.
Just back home from the horsepiddle vampire unit and I'm delighted to see another rise despite the sea of red trades, or so they purport to be. Jolly hockey sticks and all that.
Bin doing me ironing, i like a nice crease in me skids, and what happens, it all goes up blooo. Bit of a turn round from recent days, is this it, is this BOOOOM? Steady Muvver, don't get excited now 😆
just been shown on BBC news. A company is drilling 4500m's down through Cornish granite to hopefully create a geothermal power plant (something I've been banging on about for years.....and I detest those windmills at sea). Of course, all those drill bits will require tungsten to keep them cutting, especially through granite, so more markets for our product. Proper job!!
